My rule of thumb... If you are under 16 then yeah, age plays a bit of a part (Only family friends and relatives over 20) :D. Other than that tis fair game.

I agree. When I turned 18, I made friends with people from 25-35 because my current activities at that time limited me to people who were older than me.

Doesn't matter at all. Years ago, most of my friends were 5+ years younger than me and had some that were 4+ years older than me. But we all shared one interest.

Age only matters if you are under the age of 13.. after that it starts to matter less and less.

Age matters only if you are around perverts,or happen to be one and also liars<people who accuse others of doing stuff when in fact they are not>. If you are just making normal friends with no weird meetups in vans and such it shouldn't matter. I would however suggest using your head when it comes to hanging out with them. Always be aware of your surroundings to be safe!

Not at all. In most situations maturity doesn't matter on age.

In friendships I say no way does age matter whatsoever! AS LONG AS ITS A FRIENDSHIP! There's nothing wrong with being friends with people older or younger. Friends are people who get along and have similar interests.

Crossing the line concerns would be like a friendship that's too friendly. Sleepovers should be forbidden when dealing with big age differences.

I don't think that's true at all because as a kid, you didn't really care whether they were older than you or not, the only thing you cared about was whether they were any good in playing games or whatever. That's my opinion anyway ;P
