The older you get the less the age gap really matters until you hit adulthood then it doesn't matter at all.

When I was young there were a couple of kids (or guys I guess) that were around 17 when the local kids were about 8 or 9, who used to always be in the park and harassing kids, but I guess deep down they were harmless, but the parents were still rather cautious.

Also most of my friends are a couple of years older than me being that I stole most of them from my brother. All of the stoner lot but genuinely good people. Whereas the rest of my friends at my age all seem to be nerdy, never leave the house, play computer games all day kind of people.

I don't think that's it's a problem, depending on the situation and culture. As long as there a common threads and mutual understanding

It may be harder to find things that you have in common due to generation gaps, but theres always anime.

Anime brings people of all ages together.

I don't thing age matters in really anything! The heart doesn't necessarily age just the body. And the heart is involved in ALL types of relationships, romantic or platonic.

People are only as old as they choose to act/feel otherwise its just a number. Personally I think age should be the least of your worries when it comes to a friend.

I don't think so. I never made any friends my own age. My friends range from 6 years younger than me to a good 30 years older.

Not at all! I have friends from various ages! Though I prefer being friends with those older then me as they are more educated and tolerable!

My best friend here is the same age as my parents. It works out, because I'm more mature than he is.
If you're cool, then we cooooo'. I don't really care about age when it comes to friendship.
