It's harder to relate to someone who is much younger than you, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Now, if they were having sex and one was a minor, then we got problems.

If they're at an age of understanding than not really. But if they're too young for grown discussions that they can't comprehend or see the big picture of then it can become quite difficult.

definitely NOT.
it's not about the age, its about personality of a person.
whom you wanted to be friend with.

In my experience, no! My best friend is two years younger than me. I'm 19, and some of my closest friends are in their mid-twenties or their mid-teens.

Depends on the person.

To be honest, I'm more comfortable with people who aren't my age. I prefer to talk to older people, because they somewhat understand my taste in music (I like old music) compared to people my age who are mostly only into mainstream pop culture. Similarly, some people younger than me are much easier to get along with.

Oh, and I like older people because they're nice. Young people are such potty mouths

It matters, but how much it matters depends on the people involved. I have always gotten along pretty well with people younger than me. I think that's because I'm a kid at heart and I have an open mind. I usually don't get along well with people older than me for the same reasons.

Don't see age. See personality.

It doesn't matter to me and it can be a good thing in a lot of cases. I have some older friends one is more than 20 years older and its fine. I get a lot of advice from them. I can't be friends with older people who want me to call them ma'am or sir though. It makes me feel like I'm talking to my parents.

My younger friends are great too! They helped me not to worry so much and have more fun. A couple of them are pranksters though....I have to keep an eye on them or I'll get baby powder in my hair again. XD

No unless a 12 year old was friends with a 40 year old or something like that. That's kind of weird...

Not really. I have friends who are younger than me and older than me.
