Not at all. Age really is just a number, and you talk and enjoy your time with people for their personality, not their age.
It's because from a young age, you have this thought that you should only really be friends with people your own age since we are put into years of people around the same ages at school.
So age really isnt a factor. It's just an idea.

no it shouldnt matter. i think i matured before most of my good friends and that kinda got me into not wanting to be around them for some time, so i made friends with people older than me 3-5 yrs. Most of them being girls who thought i was just a little cutie for being younger.
