in friendship, of course not. what kind of question is that. i have friends as young as three years younger than me and friends that are graduating this year.

I had a friend who was a 64 year old grandpa when i was in 3rd grade. We met on wednesdays in church cuz he was giving free lessons in tutoring me in english (i dont know if this really counts as friends but he was nice)

Yeah. Speaking from experience, I know.
A few years ago when I was 21, a good friend who I got back in contact with, had some friends a bit younger than himself with similar interests as us(MMORPG heads at the time) . He was 17, the others were 16 and 15. Problem is they were girls... well, my problem anyway, one was his girlfriend and the other, her best friend who I was cool with.
He took me over her house, we all just hung out played games, just innocent, clean fun(I wasn't attracted to her but she liked me. A 21 year old and a 15 year old doesn't look good in court... so no way thats happening. Well in the end her family didn't like me hanging out with her(can't hold it against them too much, we see alot of crazy things happen in the news), but they threatened to call the police if I came around (Funny, we never even made any sort of physical contact with each other... Not even a handshake).
So a perfectly good friendship gone, age is a factor.

no way!! Age matters not!!! I'm not sure if the people here put their REAL ages, but i'm friends with people of all ages here. It's great! Some of my mom's friends are mine too!

Are we talking friends you have over the net, or friends you can hang out with in person.
Over the net it doesn't matter. In person it obviously does. Sorry for being vague.

No, I don't think so. It's harder, because of maturity level sometimes(unless you have the same sense of maturity), but it really doesn't matter at all.
