Yeah platonic friendship can happen between anyone. My 26 y.o. uncle from my mom's side is really good friends with my 72 y.o. grandmother from my dad's side.
But people will get the wrong idea if it looks like something inappropriate... like it's a 25 year old guy and a 14 year old girl together...

Just like in love, age doesn't matter in friendship. Just make sure that you know who to choose as a friend. There are so called friends who will be there with you during the happy times and there are friends who will be there with you during the hard times. |
