Only when you get to be in your later years. If you live to see 80 and beyond and do attend annual high-school or greater learning reunions it's disheartening to see fewer and fewer of your old buddies in attendance either because of infirmity or death. Somewhere in those later years a person will need to develop a stratagem to be a welcome addition in younger groups; otherwise, the only certainty going forward besides death for you and those few remaining elderly friends will be way too much alone time and loss.

Well.. if a 50 yr old man befriended a 12 yr old it would be akward but it wou;dn't much matter tho.

Why would that be weird? A 50 year old man is sure to have some experience under him. The twelve year old could learn quite a few things.

No, age doesn't matter when it comes to friendships, only the substance of them alters quite a bit in a lot of cases if there's huge leaps in ages. Taking that from personal experience.

No matter what age, there's always something to learn from the people we meet, whether good or bad.

My youngest friend's a teenager. My oldest friend turned 51 this year. I don't see the big deal with age.
