No it doesn't. The closest of my friends are both younger and older and range around ten years each. I don't really have friends my age.

Nope. I hate everyone regardless of age. >:D

Nope I'm friends with a 40 year old woman. We talk about all kinds of things, same stuff I'd talk about with my 19 year old friends.

Age doesn't matter when it comes to friendship, age is just a number but it's up to the individual whether or not they feel comfortable about it.

yes, but would u b friends with a 40 year old man? people love to say age is just a number, which is obvious, but in terms of forming meaningful friendships with someone old enough to be ur parent or vice versa, i believe age is important. How would u feel if u were 18 and had a 45 year old online "friend" and they wanted to hang out with ur other friends irl?

Clearly NO! and NOT an issue...

I have a good friendship with my students who is 20 years younger than me and my teachers who is older than my Dad
If we human able to bond with animals and established friendship that last, loyal and fulfilling like the pets that we have so much for age difference that is not a difference when it comes to true and genuine friendship

age doesn't matter at all. though, when you look around the room and realize you are the oldest person there...sometimes that stings lol.

I don't think it matters at all. I'm a childcare worker and i'm friends with some of my kids but it is hard sometimes to punish them when they're not doing what they suppose to but it doesn't happen a lot which I like.

Yes I would, you're on the assumption that just because he's older than me then that must mean he's a creep. OP never said anything about meeting people online which is sketchy no matter how old or young they are. My answer is assuming I've met and gotten to know this person irl. The question was does age matter in friendship, not do you meet with strangers you met online.

Just because someones older than me doesn't mean we can't have a meaningful friendship, or that they're creeps. I'm guessing you've never been to retirement homes or talked with elders that just simply wanted to chat. Don't assume that just because someones older they have ill intentions.
