All of my friends are either same age as me or older, only got one friend that is younger then me by a few years so it doesn't really matter tbh.

Kids of course can befriend older kids. It is difficult for adults to become "friends" with kids. You can be friendly, but there is always a gap.

As an adult, age doesn't matter so much. It is generally true that it is easier to make friends with somebody around your own age, however.

I don't think so. I have friends you are a lot older than me and friends who are younger. I think where it would be weird is if that person was younger and of the opposite gender. :/

I could see that earning me glares on the street.

Yes it is possible to be friends with someone older then you are, a real good friend of mine is 13 years older then I am. It's definitely an interesting dynamic because you also end up learning a lot in the process, so it does sorta become a bit of a mentorship role. I also help her a lot because I'm very computer savvy (A+ certified and I need to go for my ccent/ccna, but I've forgotten so much!) and she wishes to pursue IT while i'm kinda moving to something which will challenge me more. (I'm going to major in either Computer Science or Computer engineering, very little programming experience but I understand the logic pretty well.)We met in college during a class two semesters ago, she's been awesome ever since haha.

I have a varied circle of friends. We're mostly around the same age, but then there's a few who are a few years younger, and a couple of mates have a good 10 years on the rest of us. Age means nothing when it comes to friendship as long as you can share stuff in common and enjoy the time you spend with eachother.

of course not most of my best friends are all way older than me

So long as it is just friendship. People cross the line all the time.

No. I can get along with people way older than me, and way younger than me.

I mean, it depends on the person. If your primary achievement in life is the fact that you no longer watch cartoons because you're a grown man now, then obviously we're not going to be friends.

IF you can find someone with a huge age difference that has the same interests as you, then its fine.

it depends on what typ of friendship your talking about. two people talking or working two geather no theres no age lemit but when it becomes more than that like say hanging out yes age dose play a part. the younger person can feel they have to catch up or they 'll be left behind or worse they could feel like an outsider and wounder if there really apart of a friend ship or just there.
