I love having older female friends but I honestly don't think I've ever met a man past the age of the 30 I would ever want to associate or be friends with. Not even my brother.

Agreed! Not to mention that's the beginning of so many porn movies!

When I was 17, I dated a girl that was 13, going on 14. She was still more mature than I was/am. A good number of my friends were like 13 at the time.

Its funny, they seemed decades younger than me back then but now, I came to realize it was only a 3-4 year difference.

Weird how that works, me thinks.

A large age gap can make a friendship especially interesting and rewarding in the long run. On the other hand, it can be awkward in the beginning. Someone who grew up in the 50s is going to have a radically different set of life experiences than someone who grew up in the 90s. Most of my friends that are (or have been) 20+ years older than me share common interests that gave us something to be enthusiastic about together. For one person it was our church and charity work. For another it was horses. For several others it was bowling. Even shared professional interests have helped to break the ice.

For some reason I have found it more difficult to develop friendships with those who are a lot younger. I have fewer friends that are 20+ years younger. I am not sure what the reason for this is. It could be communication style. I can be very frank about how I feel about certain things. A younger person may feel awkward about overtly contradicting someone their parents' age - though I really would not mind it. Listening to someone with a very different point of view can be so much more interesting than just hearing your own views repackaged and sent back to you.

Mhm Mhm

Age matters only if it's some crazy big 30yr plus difference. Most of my friends are 16-24 so it's not an issue.

Not at all in my opinion although you may get people how look down and up at people and all that BS! Friendship can appear anywhere and at any time within any social circle or lifestyle! Like shit... "It Just Happens"

Depends on the age you live in

Naw age is OK. When I was 7 there was a very kind old man who massaged my penis every night. Ah, I miss him.
