With a jailbroken ipod touch, you can play music, watch video, surf the net (built-in wifi), play nintendo games like super mario, zelda... and best of the bestest is the application store. OMG, i'm drooling...

I can do all that on mine and its not jailbroken, well minus the nintindo games, but i never liked them anyway. just upgrade the damn software to 2.0 and all thats available to you.

I like NES games, iphysic (i swear to god this is the reason i love the device), customizable icon and screen, and they're all freeeee. I do like some apps in the apps store though.

I have a 16 gig. I fucked it up myself, but with the insurance I'm just gonna take it back and get a second generation one and jailbreak that one. It's great. Get it.

no built-in radio? don't want it... that's why i won't get with the i-program. cost is another factor. you gonna spend the bucks, get the phone instead.

Errr... there's such thing as a pandora radio in the application store.

I mean what do you mean, duh. I have the 1st generation and it works pretty well, because i didn't know about the jailbreaking and stuff. Then i got sick of it and sold it for 250 (the new one now is only 229, baha). And a month later i found out about jailbreaking and now i want it bad with the application store.

WHat's not good about jailbreaking is that it voids warranty and might brick your touch, but i have found a way to go around it and make Apple replace with a new one in case i break it. A full restore.

That's the first generation and Apple do that every Back-To-School season to free their stock. As of right now, there's no promotion with the 2nd generation. The second generation ipod touch has the free updates, the application store, volume buttons, mini internal speaker and half thinner.

No i'm talking about a grass hopper who married an Octopus and they have beautiful little lizard kids. I hope that'll make plenty of sense.
