Stick to these rules please.

1. There will be no flaming other people, disrespecting other people's opinions, insulting religions or spamming.

2. You will stay on topic when posting. This thread is about why God allows these kind of disasters such as tsunamis to happen and not about whether God exists or not.

If I see anyone posting otherwise I will lock this thread straight away and, depending on what the post includes, ban the poster(s) as well.

I'm sick and tired of all these religious excuses and lies. Every religion talks about how God is perfect, how Gods creation are perfect and how perfect nature is when clearly it's NOT!!

How can an all-Powerful, all-Knowing, good God Allow such thing to happen. How could he allow so many deaths, tears, sorrow and bitterness.

Death toll

Indonesia: 240 774

Sri Lanka: 30 957

India: 16 389

Thailand: 5 393

Maldives: 82

Malaysia: 68

Myanmar: 61

Bangladesh: 2

Somalia: 298

Tanzania: 10

Kenya: 1

Total: 294 035 died in tsunami

For more details

I was one of the very lucky people in thailand who survived this natural disaster and I will NEVER thank god for it.It was not he who saved me,I was the one who saved myself.

So when you can't blame anything else anymore, blame it on God.

"The creation of man whom God in his foreknowledge knew doomed to sin was the awful index of God's omnipotence. For it would have been a thing of trifling and contemptible ease for perfection to create more perfection. To do so would, to speak truth, be not creation but extension. Separateness I identify and the only way for God to create, truly create, man, was to make hm separate from God Himself and to be separate from God is to be sinful. The creation of evil is therefore the index of God's glory and His power. That had to be so that the creation of good might be the index of man's power and glory."

Lol blame nature? What is the logic you are using on this thread anyway? Have you not thought that maybe It was mankind's doing? If we were able to kill his son then maybe it is possible to kill others. That man was at fault for the causing of the earthquake due to his disregarding of taking care of the earth?

God is just helping the world by cleansing unneeded people in the world

Ever considered the posibility that God has worked his way within you to save yourself? Maybe He let you live knowing you'd question your faith and thus you need a little bit of soul searching yourself and ultimately decide whether you will never again trust in Him or renew your sense of faith that is much stronger than before. Oftentimes, death and suffering is the closest thing to realizing the true value of life. Why not make use of that valuable life of yours and give hope to others especially the victims who survived along with you? People don't realize the even they can be the greatest of miracles and for those who do, most don't know how much they're impacting other people's lives.

Than what is the correct reason?
Some said those who died from the tsunami would go to heaven other say it is the result of karma. All those bullshit reasons are just an excuse to keep their religions alive.Everything happened so fast and turned into an island of corpses, many victims are now living without their childrens, parents, families and friends.I've lost 4 friends to the tsunami and none of us could even recognize their faces .Any person with a conscious would have prevent such a terrible tragedy if they had the power. Is God a bastard without a conscious?

Yeah, where was he? Exactly. But I guess ppl like to play it safe and "believe" in him just in case he does exist. Doesn't hurt you to and you reap all the benifits at the end. I forgot who exactly said it. It was a philosopher I think.

Lol And what kind of logic is yours? you're saying mankind caused the tsunami? If tsunami is the result of people's evil doing than at least kill those who are deserve to die and not the innocent childrens and babies.Could it be that God is blind?

God doesnt make the world all roses and daisies ya know.
theres a reason he let the tsunami happen. you may not understand that reason, because you are not God.

What kind of logic is yours, you're saying something that is not proven to exist to have caused the death of all these people. Your just shoving the blame on someone that we have no fucking idea if it exists or not, what the fuck do you want God to do
