"God" was created by the weak-minded individuals who'd rather blame an imaginary deity then realize building cities on fault lines and next to large bodies of water probably isn't the best idea.

Why are these people assuming God can't do anything? Isn't he supposed to be all powerful? He can do anything he wants. Maybe if he wanted to he could just give all the bad people in the world heart attacks (HA deathnote) or some way of dying instead of choosing random people who don't deserve it?

Also, since God is supposed to be all powerful, he can control a tsunami right?

I don't believe in God. If he does exist, why not show himself and save people from Hell?

How is this person from thailand who also lost all his families suppose to keep living on.If I was him I would have committed suicide. His father, mother, granpa, 2 brothers and sister were all murdered by the ocean. At one point he was driven to insanity and could get less if he were still living,it was like the end of the world to him.He was filled with hatred and couldn't get any peace of mind. All he did was shouting the ocean non-stop.He is all by himself now still.

well... he can continue to shout at the ocean in vain...he can shout on till another tsunami comes over and hits his ass...or he can move on...he lost everything...its time for him to move on and start over...suicide is wrong...its wrong based on religous and secular views...all of them that parished during the tsunami would give ne thing to be back alive now...but he should just arrogantly takes his life? life is far to precious dude...learn to move on...live on...for the sake of his family he should live on...live the life they couldnt have...if i had a family, and all that was left alive was one guy... i would want my last living relative to live on...all is not lost...life still exists...and life can grow... peace over war

Ever considered the posibility that God has worked his way within you to save yourself? Maybe He let you live knowing you'd question your faith and thus you need a little bit of soul searching yourself and ultimately decide whether you will never again trust in Him or renew your sense of faith that is much stronger than before. Oftentimes, death and suffering is the closest thing to realizing the true value of life. Why not make use of that valuable life of yours and give hope to others especially the victims who survived along with you? People don't realize the even they can be the greatest of miracles and for those who do, most don't know how much they're impacting other people's lives.

I'm sick and tired of all these religious excuses and lies. Every religion talks about how God is perfect, how Gods creation are perfect and how perfect nature is when clearly it's NOT!!

Maybe they were just, you know, natural disasters? As in nature? Maybe? Maybe?

EDIT: I personally DO believe in God in a very un-religious way, however I can't believe [he] will either save or smite us... be it from, or with tsunamis.

He was behind the disaster, for those who follow the religion. And for those who think with a free mind, let's put it down to nature. It happened and wouldn't have happened any other way.

You have to be joking,so you're telling me god sacrifice 294 thousand innocent people just to test mankind faith. While the rest of us half dead were badly injured, stranded in a island full of disease and corpses.Did god also prepared us a real Survivor Island show? no human being would ever in hell want this for a test.I don't believe in jesus and I'm far from believing this allah from the islamics.Even if he did exist he would be satan.

some people are so wrapped up in their faith

It's disgusting how some of you would think that god saved my ass for such little reasons. What about that sharp piece of wood that were stuck in my rib and the broken glasses behind my back, elbow and knees, was that also gods doing,to test me if i can survive? Good thing none of them targeted my vital organs and weren't deep enough to take my live away.As soon as I recovered some strenght I got back on my feet but I was barely able to walk but still somehow I manage this painfull walk and found a few survivors,it was our own will that kept us alive NOT god. Many others who didn't make it died horribly, thai people and foreigners all died a creepy and ugly death.

I want God to hug Me forever I'll be watching You, Too

I think Final Fantasy X's storyline has to do something with stuff like this...like the Lady Yunalesca scene

To me, belief and faith are existence...because Faith spoils us? Faith seeks the Existence Of A Happy Man. The Happy Man gives us hope...? Hope gives us happiness? I don't know if what I'm saying makes sense, but whatever because it's what I believe...Karma
