	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 9/21/08 -is new to SHINee- Anyways, when I first heard of SHINee, I thought it was pronounced 'shee-nay' Yeah, so a month later, I finally got off my lazy butt and searched them here on CR. And then I read that SHINee is actually pronounced pretty much like 'shiny'. I really like how SM spelled out their name, it does look cool. But does anyone else feel like the way we pronounce it sort of weird? .____. It would sound like: "OMGSH! I love shiny! They can sing so well!" I mean, doesn't that sound kind of weird? .____. Just in case people start attacking me: I'm not trying to put down SHINee or anything. It's just the name I find weird, and I know I can't change anything about it. - p h o e b e ☆ ★

I think it's an awesome name no matter how weird it is to say shiny is my favorite korean pop band.

Spelling's cool but yeah, pronunciation and the meaning of "shiny" is quite odd for a band. Anyway, the name of the band is important but it doesn't define the band's future. With such faces and talents, this new band sure is something to watch for!
