Dont know if there is a topic about this already because I didn't search though 20 sections but I just read on AznPop he is going to have a debut album in the US.. How do you think it will do?

I heard the debut single that was leaked and it was kinda good.. Has a nice beat to it but he could have done without fabulous but I guess he is trying to reach a black audience. Kinda reminds me of Justin Timberlake.

i think Se7en will do great. he is really talented and he puts effort into everything he does. however it is difficult to become successful in America but i'm sure Se7en will make his mark in the US. I wish him the best on his debut in America.

As much as I would love to see him do well here, I really don't see it happening. There have been many, many foreign artists [not just Asian] that have attempted to make it big in America, and, unfortunately, few have them have achieved any sort of success. It does help matters though, that he already has a fanbase here.

It seems like theres a pretty big fanbase here in the US but it all depends on the fans, if they are cheapskates and just download the album or they're true fans and will support him.

I personally love his singing and I'll support him all the way and buy the album.

By the way, when the album come out?

I hate it when people claim that you can only be a 'true fan' if you buy every single album/DVD/poster/etc. There are tons are bands that I like but am unable to buy their albums because 1. they don't ship overseas, 2. some bands are so obscure they they don't have CDs/their albums are near impossible to find, 3. their albums are no longer in print, 4. s&h is a bitch, etc.

it's not gonna happen. the only major foreigners that did well were 60's british bands. if rain failed se7en probably will too. cultures don't mix.

it's really hard for artists to make it big in the US because we have so much talent available and it's easy for us to be picky about what we like..but music artists definitely have it tough because a lot of artists turn out to be "one hit wonders" and that would suck if it happened to Se7en. So the only way he's gonna make it is if he can make a new fanbase in the US by working with other talented artists (for example look at Frankie J) like Baby Bash or Kanye West..you know...cuz music is also about business. He ain't going to make it if he can't find someone to work with him.
