Well, I've grown up watching the Lions from the 1990s to the present, so I've seen way too many ugly seasons from them, especially after Barry Sanders left and during the Matt Millen and Marty Morningweg era. Over seven seasons under Millen's leadership (from 2000 - 2008) as team president, the Detroit Lions owned the NFL's worst winning percentage (31–81, .277), never had a winning season, never finished higher than third place in the NFC North, and did not play in any post-season games. In 2008, they claimed the infamous 0-16 record, which had never been done in the NFL... Believe me, it was an embarrassing time to be a Lions fan back in the 2000s era. I think last year was the first playoff appearance in a long while. I still root for the Lions though (and all the Detroit teams), since I grew up around the Detroit area. |
