By an absolute long shot, incomparable to any other team in any other sport, the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL.

Don't worry, you're not the only one with lots and lots of favorite sports teams! Heck, I have six hockey favorites, from five leagues.

NHL: Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning
AHL: Grand Rapids Griffins
ECHL: Toledo Walleye
WHL: Saskatoon Blades
KHL: CSKA Moscow

MLB: Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians
NBA: Don't like it.
NFL: Cleveland Browns, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
(Just to be clear, I'm not a bandwagoner just because I live in the Tampa area now; I've like the Tampa teams for a long time now.)
Soccer: Not a fan.
NCAAF: Ohio State Buckeyes.
NASCAR: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Brad Keslowski (Again, not a bandwagoner >_<)
Cricket: Ha, cricket.

The Detroit Tigers play football now?
I'm sure you probably mean the Detroit Lions? I'm a Lions fan as well, but it seems like they are awful almost every year. I've come accustomed to expecting them to find a way to lose.

...I-...it was four in the morning!

And I'm not sure what you're talking about with the Lions, they made the playoffs last year! The Browns are terrible, and I'll give you that, but the Lions aren't bad...

Well, I've grown up watching the Lions from the 1990s to the present, so I've seen way too many ugly seasons from them, especially after Barry Sanders left and during the Matt Millen and Marty Morningweg era. Over seven seasons under Millen's leadership (from 2000 - 2008) as team president, the Detroit Lions owned the NFL's worst winning percentage (31–81, .277), never had a winning season, never finished higher than third place in the NFC North, and did not play in any post-season games. In 2008, they claimed the infamous 0-16 record, which had never been done in the NFL... Believe me, it was an embarrassing time to be a Lions fan back in the 2000s era.
I think last year was the first playoff appearance in a long while. I still root for the Lions though (and all the Detroit teams), since I grew up around the Detroit area.

The Lions had a 12 point lead with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter against the Colts today, and they still lost...
