False.

The dog meat we eat or not the dogs you see as pets. We don't eat your Fido or your guard dog. Its a special kind of dog that raised for food like cows. And its a delicacy, so if you really starving you must be poor, hence you can't afford dog meat. Your logic eats itself.

And all you ignorant retards that sees China the US media wants you to see are just sad. Go to China and see for yourself.

How is it false? People would eat it if they're starving and I never said they eat their own pets.

You implied that Chinese people are so poor and hungry that they would resort to eating dogs.

No, I did not. " But people will eat it if they're starving." I only said that if you're starving, you would eat it along with many other things. No where in my statement did I say Chinese people so poor that they would resort to eating dogs.

EDIT: Let me just restate my point so that you don't get the wrong idea of what I was trying to say.
If a person is starving, they wil eat practically anything, dog, cat, cow, whatever. So it doesn't matter what race you are, you'll do the same. And even if you're not starving, food is food so there's nothing to be ashamed of.

Go for it. What I meant with the whole "survival" part goes back to what I said about people (not just the Chinese) willing to eat almost anything when they're hungry. So therefore, eating dogs doesn't matter since people eat what they eat. If you're just going to accuse me of calling Chinese people (including myself) being so poor that they would eat dogs then that's you're problem.

I read somewhere in the newspaper months ago that Japanese kimonos are being made by the Chinese in Chinese factories now, not handmade by the Japanese anymore =/

I don't see what's so bad about eating dogs or a fudging kangaroo. I'll eat anything that's not poison and not human. Anything taste good with soy sauce and hot sauce.

i'll eat poison and human too...but i prefer my flavors more plain an natural so i don't add extra sauce to it, just whatever is needed to make it good.

Honestly, who gives a damn about what someone eats? Food is food (we're not going to get into a discussion about cannibalism though - that is beyond the line). Hell, I'll try most things at least once. Squirrel is good eating, I know that. I hear snake tastes awesome, and would like to try that too. And I like alligator - a different kind of dish, but not bad at all.

I thought this was a discussion about the Gov't and history of China. For instance: While much of the known world suffered during the dark ages in Europe, China escaped unscathed. Except for that bit where the Mongols invaded and changed everything (mostly for the worse). Disease wasn't as rampant in China when the rest of the world was suffering due to poor hygienic practices (except for the bit with the black plague - it originated in Mongolia and traveled on from there). China was the first country to create an encyclopedia.

Edit: corrected some spelling

^ you can blame the chinese for being conquered by the Mongols. They DID give them silk as an incentive for not going over the wall... little did they know that the Mongols would eventually use it in their armor, and it served well in minimizing wounds and preventing infections. :sweatingbullets:

Current China is probably not as "communist" as many people would be lead to believe. Their current economy is beginning to open up with what is now known as "market capitalism". Looks like the Sleeping Giant is about to wake up, in my opinion. :)

EDIT to below: Wouldn't be surprised if some veggie freak from China thinks Burgers are disgusting. Well, if it's edible, it's edible I guess.

^ Whatever! Some foods are just disgusting to eat. Beyond that, if you're not from the country, you will surely despise their foods. Snakes, Alligator(?), squirrel(?), etc etc are 'eeew!'

HA! that was a little known fact about silk It was mostly effective vs arrows.

And yes, from all my sources of info they have changed a bit. They are leaning more toward socialism, with a heavy mix of capitalism, but communism (Yes, there is a difference, look it up yourself) is still the major factor in that gov't.

@ simpleyesa:

If I were to give you a plate of snake or squirrel, you'd tell me "this chicken tastes kinda gamy". As far as alligator goes though, I'd just never tell you what it was until after you tried it and said you liked it. Say what you will, but those Louisianans know how to cook!
