Sorry, Flo. That's a stupid generalization. I may be a Muslim but I don't fall into the same category as the 5% of religious whackos who are given undue attention by the media.

That's why I wouldn't flame you ;D

Good thing the sensible Muslims stay away from this, If all Muslims took this seriously, WWIII = Possible.

How can mice even be evil lol they are God's creations too. Somebody should kick this guy's head in.
I sincerely hope that people dismiss this guy's fatwa as a joke. The rest of Muslims are pretty tired of taking the piss for the stupidity of a few, and it's only gotten worse post-9/11.

People have too, Catholics like me can't do nothing about it, and it would make us look like monsters if we take such a thing seriously, idiots like that should be burned for taking advantage of majority of the Muslims in the middle east, These people look at them as wise men, but truth be told they are merely fools deceiving their brothers for their own gain.

whats happening around the world now...well as muslim there are lots of things should be taken care and carefully examined before we used to accept that thing. and ofcourse the guidance is the Koran and al-Sunnah by the Prophet (s.a.w)
btw fatwa doesnt really mean give a death sentence. its just like a declaration of something thats not appear in the Book or spoken by the Prophet (s.a.w) and its declared by authorities. well in this case i just take what the good and leave the bad.
there are also some good values from media, and also bad. lastly it depends on how we learn to accept them and take whats we should and leave what we should not.

Giving extra attention to these people just give them the initiative to continue with stuff like this. Ignore them and all will be good.

There was an excellent piece in the NYT 2 days ago about Dubai, and how it is the best place in Arabia where you do not get discriminated on the basis of your religion or lack thereof.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/world/middleeast/22dubai.html
Since moving to India a few months ago, it's been mildly unsettling since the atmosphere here is less relaxed and more tense than the environment I enjoyed for 19 years in Dubai.

@Flo - Thanks

Do note that the tension between the Hindus and the Muslims in India is a strong one, so i guess that's the reason.

These are the consequences of being a religious fanatic (no matter which religion)- you come off as being completely mental -____-

They don't give a damn about the consequences if they can keep it up with their lies, The benefits outweigh the consequences in their case.

Nowadays, there's a lot of Christian-Hindu tension, and churches were getting attacked in Bangalore for the last few days.
Plus, the Einsteins in the 'Indian Mujahideen' think planting bombs and killing people is a great publicity gimmick. Stupid twats.

It is actually a pretty cool place, but you can't deny there's tension in the air especially during election times, when political leaders inflame communal tensions to appeal to their vote banks and we march out like sheep and start destroying stuff. It's a pity, really.

Ironically the one way of using your religion and the religion of others to your advantage, Politics is a dirty business, its just sad that bastards use it for their own personal gain, not minding the misery it causes to others, all i can say is, the topic has gone full circle, to Fanatic Sheiks(or Imams) to Politics and back to the mentality of the Fanatic Sheiks, since these fanatics also use the same thing.

If we start discouraging these Imams and Sheikhs from making such absurd rules and fatwas, it will be better for us Muslims as a whole.
I'm a muslim too, and watching Mickey Mouse was part of my childhood lol

There's something missing in translation here. The world pretty much sees this side of Muslims and are effectively subjected to classifying them as blinded fools who use the Quaran for theor own personal gains. For much of reality, the handful number of fanatics in the Muslim world are instigating the twisted ways of their thinking using the Quaran as a base. With it they herald in fear and power over much of the civilized Muslims and therefore effectively kept in the dark or silenced because as much as they are God-fearing, they also recognize that they can't do much on their own to fight those influences. For those that do resist, they are surely met with violent resistance.
