Mangas really good when your reading comedy and gags coz its quicker and tends to not be as drawn out as the anime.

anime is normally the adaptation of manga. During the crossover, additional stories are thrown in to extend the lifespan of the anime in order for the company to increase fandom sales, and the added parts are what we call fillers.
Problems with manga to anime crossover: -Agood manga art has a high tendency to be bastardize by the difference in drawing style by the animation creators, and depending on who, the anime can be low budget as well making the animation and art crappy and choppy. -Anime version tends to drag a scene far too long, stretching a 16-18 page chapter that can be read in 5-10min into a 23min episode. -Fillers have no relevance to the story and tends to drag on. -Fillers sometime can and will counter the actual story's plot/character development, and at the same time feel different from the way the actual author writes his/her story. -Fillers tend to be low budgetted, therefore the animation is terrible. Dragon Ball Z is a good example in dragging out scenes far too long. But because of its popularity, the remake of DBZ, Dragon Ball Kai, is a condense version of the anime, removing all the hourly long moans and groans and pointless scenery, making it half the length of DBZ but 10x better than the original anime. Naruto's fillers is a good example of how it tends to deviate from the actual story and at the same time have terrible animation and horrendous/different artstyle in filler characters. Contrary to all this, not all fillers are poorly executed. Full Metal Alchemist the anime is 50% made up but the story and animation is pulled off pretty well. I also prefer the artwork from the anime over the manga. Similar to DBZ/DBK, the anime and the manga was widely accepted by the populace, thus a remake of FMA with the original story is created. |

In my experience, I've enjoyed the manga over the anime adaptation.
I like to watch anime still, but when it comes to certain stories I like (anime) I tend to like the manga (original version... and original versions are usually better) more. I agree with people when they say that a lot of stuff gets taken out of the anime adaptation of the source manga. So... I tend to like manga more. |

Its very interesting and is almost like books, except visual. So you should ask, why are books so popular?

I don't know why, there aren't many people at my school who know manga, but I bet it'll be really popular if it was.

Well, I guess it really varies from person to person. But I find manga to have a more stable plot line. By stable I mean not jumping all over the place which is the case in some animes (although it isn't ALWAYS bad). For me, it's getting to see the original story, most anime (if not all) are based off of manga and it's interesting to read them as the author wanted it to be. Overall, it really depends on the person

looking for good anime/mangasD:

my reasons fro reading manga:
-the plot is faster( it was painful to watch the goku vs freiza fight since it dragged out to about 30 episodes i believe) -no fillers(in naruto there isn't any chapter in the manga about eating weird mushrooms XD) -no edits (the edit that i can think of was InuYasha when it came to Sesshomaru getting the pearl out of InuYasha's eye the anime he used his power to pull it out, the manga version he shoved his finger in his actual eye. Another one would be from Naruto the curse seal on Neji's forehead they were different) -You get the original plot since in some anime the plot takes a turn and is completely different from the manga (ex Fullmetal Alchemist but don't get me wrong I love both the original and brotherhood version of Fullmetal Alchemist anime.) |

Because manga is very entertaining to read and the artwork is visually appealing. But I do think manga could be a lot more popular, not enough know about it or give it a chance, at least in my area.

Takin' it easy

My reasons:
1. Because it's made by the original creator, and usually has a more consistent story than it's anime counterpart. 2. Because you can set your own pace. You can read it really fast or slowly, but anime is linear and it's harder to speed through the boring parts and linger over the interesting parts. 3. Manga is more likely to have niche and creative stories. The animes that get churned out are usually shounens--either harem or action. Niche and artistic animes don't do so well, so there aren't very many. Fans of shoujo, slice-of-life, art-house, yaoi, and other specialties often have to turn to something besides anime to satisfy their needs. 4. There is more opportunity for interesting art. |
