That's according to his wife, Michelle, in Ebony's February cover story on "The Hottest Couple in America" (also the source of this unusually passionate photograph). The article goes on to explain that Obama "lives two lives — one as a powerful lawmaker and another as a doting husband. And he's just fine with that." Obama is quoted as saying that Michelle likes to remind him that he is "still a man . . . she lets me know when I'm not acting right." Hillary, you know you can't compete with this display of connubial bliss. Wait . . . can you? Well, after the jump, the strong-stomached among us will witness your most valiant attempt to date.

Personally I don't really think the reasons people are voting are wise ones.. People were gonna vote for Hillary because she was gonna be the first woman president.. People have voted for Obama because he's the first black president.. Our country doesn't need "firsts.." Our country needs results..

It's true that our country needs to change, and a democratic president is one of the fastest solutions for that.. But if Obama was a republican and McCain was a democratic president.. How would our country handle such an economic blow.. If our country voted for him just because he was black.. Would we be able to handle a longer period of stay in Iraq, our banks becoming bankrupt, our fellow citizens losing their jobs, our country going into dept..?

GREAT NECK, N.Y. – A Long Island Democratic supporter says he's been driven to hide his OBAMA vanity license plates inside his car because people kept trying to steal them.

Great Neck resident Jonathan Lifschutz says he got the plates bearing the surname of the U.S. president-elect from the New York Department of Motor Vehicles days after the Jan. 26 South Carolina primary.

The 50-year-old financial analyst and former Hillary Clinton donor says would-be thieves tried prying off the plates and he even caught one man red-handed.

He jokes the Empire State plates one day will be a collector's item — in someone else's house.

So he's taken them off his car and put his old plates back on...

President-elect Barack Obama nominated New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to serve as his secretary of state, making his one-time chief rival for the Democratic nomination his principal foreign policy operative.

The United States Naval Station at Guantánamo Bay in Cuba dates back to 1903, when the American government leased the 45-square mile site as a coaling station in the wake of the Spanish-American War. Since the United States broke off relations with Cuba after Fidel Castro's rise to power, the base has operated as an obscure anomaly, one foreign power's self-enclosed outpost in a hostile land.

In recent years, however, the base has become the center of worldwide attention, and steadily increasing criticism. After the United States invaded Afghanistan in the wake of the Sept. 11th attacks, a trickle of prisoners suspected of being al Qaeda members or supporters were transported to "Camp X-Ray'' at Guantánamo. In 2002, President Bush decided to make it the central prison for suspects considered unlawful enemy combatants in the war on terror. Since then, the effort to try the suspects before the military tribunals created by the Bush administration has been blocked by a series of court rulings responding to challenges brought by prisoners. In the meantime, human rights groups and lawyers representing detainees have painted a harsh picture of conditions there, while prisoners themselves have protested through hunger strikes, riots and suicides.

President-elect Barack Obama has said he will close Guantánamo but has provided few details. He has suggested that some prisoners could be prosecuted in federal courts. Those men could be held in federal or military prisons. But the Obama transition office has not offered details of where the remainder might be held.
