I found Far Cry 2 fun. The story mode is a bit slow paced though, due to the time it takes to simply get from Point A to point B. Though, if you like exploration and shooters ar Cry 2 is a great game. Multiplayer is great too, with a really good map editor to boot too.

Based on your faves, I think you might like: Rune Factory 1 or 2, Time Hollow, Phoenix Wright (1, 2, 3), The world ends with you, Elite beat agents (ouendan 1 or 2 for japanese songs, import only), Taiko no tatsujin (1 or 2, import only), and when it comes out in February I'm almost positive you'd want to pick up an rpg called My world My way

Couple of other anime style design rpgs: Rhapsody a Musical Adventure, Disgaea ds, Final fantasy (III, IV, revenant wings, crystal chronicles, tactics), Luminous arc 1 or 2, dragon quest IV, chrono trigger, Pokemon, Dragon quest monsters: Joker (like pokemon)

I would recommened Fable 2, which is a 360 exclusive and very fun to play. It is a RPG but the fighting is RTS. A very fun game with a neat story line and tons of replay ability. Oh, and you can get STD's in it too. =D
If you want a more traditional RPG then try out Eternal Sonata, which is an RPG thats aimed to please a Japanese audience. It's a great game, if your ears can handle the cut scenes, oh and no STD's here... =(
