Lee Jun Ki Lights Christmas Tree in Thailand | 2007.12.05



Actor Lee Joon-ki celebrated Yuletide, royal style, in Thailand. During his tour with the Korean-Thai Chamber of Commerce (KTCC), the 26-year-old took part in a large Christmas ceremony with the Thai royal family in Chiang Mai, Monday.

This is the first time a "hallyu" (Korean wave) star has visited the area, and reportedly some 5,000 people swarmed the venue to catch a glimpse of Lee lighting a Christmas tree, according to Metro. The tree-lighting event is an annual royal festivity.

The star of "The King and the Clown" was also invited to the 80th birthday celebration of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Wednesday, a first for a foreign celebrity.

Lee had filmed part of his latest TV series "Time Between Dog and Wolf - Drama" in Thailand, and has a large fan base there. During the shooting, he took part in a charity event where he auctioned off some of his personal belongings. The occasion had attracted some 5,000 fans and over 100 local press members, demonstrating his immense popularity in the area.

Lee Jun Ki will meet Japan's Matsuyama Kenichi | 2008.01.31



Korea’s Lee Jun Ki will meet Japan’s Matsuyama Kenichi who is visiting Korea on February 1st and played the role of the main character in the movie ‘Death Note L’. Matsuyama Kenichi is a Japanese star who is gaining popularity among teenagers and twenty-somethings in Korea thanks to his unique character and pretty face. This meaningful encounter between the two stars was arranged as director Nakata Hideo of the movie ‘Death Note L’, who is also visiting Korea with Matsuyama Kenichi, expressed his willingness to meet Lee.

Lee has been chosen as one of the most eligible actors to be cast to star in the Korean version of the ‘Death Note’ series, and as Nakata Hideo is a very famous director who extended his career to Hollywood through movies such as ‘Ring’ and ‘Underneath The Black Water,’ the encounter of these two people is significant and drawing much attention.

Lee will attend the ‘Death Note L’ fan meeting, which will take place in the CGV movie theater in Apgujung, Seoul at seven thirty p.m. on February 1st, to welcome the Japanese actor and director. ‘Death Note L’ is about a genius detective named L who will have to stop the ‘Obliteration Project of Mankind’. The movie will be released on February 21st.

JunKi was in Hong Kong from February 23 to the 25 filming a Pepsi CF, along with other Asian stars. JunKi went out to dinner with some of the EEG staff and was spotted by reporters when he arrived at the restaurant.
With those red extensions, I wonder what the CF will be like?^^;





Jun Ki went to Hong Kong Airport for his flight home to Seoul on a 12 o'clock flight, February 26. There were about 20 fans there to see him off.

JunKi made a shampoo CF in China! | 2008.02.28



Last week, before he went to Hong Kong to film the Pepsi CF, JunKi was in Guangzhou on February 21 and 22 filming a CF for Longliqi shampoo.
I am not sure when the CF will be broadcast in China, though.^^;

oh! it's a shampoo CF that he made.. cause I've seen his new photos that he posted in his CYWorld .. then I see him there wearing the exact clothes in that photo and the same hair too.. - in that photo in his CYWorld someone is fixing his hair ..
then the other pics there - his hair is already long w/ extensions..
I was confused w/ those pics of him in his CYWorld when I first saw it, because of his short hair - I thought that was the Pepsi CF his making.. then I saw the pics of him w/ his long hair in Hong Kong for the Pepsi CF.. so, I was thinking when was that photo w/ his short hair.. and now I know that it's for the shampoo CF.:D



Yeah, it was pretty much kept a secret that he was going to China and then to Hong Kong, but the HK press saw him and that's when it came out he was doing the Pepsi CF. He was practically giving hints in the pics he posted in his Cy when he was in Guangzhou, though.^^;


He said his hair had grown long and it was good for work.
(It is good for his role in Iljimae, and for the shampoo CF, too.)

JunKi's going to Hong Kong for the Louis Vuitton Opening

The Louis Vuitton Maison shop has been expanded and there will be an Grand Opening event on March 14, and JunKi will attend. The boutique on Canton Road is the largest LV outlet in Asia, and outside of Paris. Many stars from all over Asia and elsewhere will also be attending this event.

The Longliqi shampoo CF JunKi filmed in China last month will be airing soon, too. :)

Lee JunKi goes to Hong Kong for CF filming | 2008.03.28

Lee JunKi has scheduled a 3 night, 4 day trip to Hong Kong.

JunKi has been to China previously to do promotions since signing with EEG, the same management company as Jackie Chan, but this time he will be in Hong Kong to do a CF for world wide fast food chain, McDonald's. JunKi will be joined by Joey Yung for the CF which is for the product "Shake Shake Fries." They will also be showing their dancing skills in the commercial.

There is also a Pepsi promotional event JunKi will be attending on April 1st.

He will be very busy on this trip, and put forth his best effort in all he must accomplish.

After completing all his activities in Hong Kong, he will be returning to Korea to continue filming for Iljimae, which will be broadcast in May.

Lee Jun Ki was interviewed for the show "Entertainment Relay" broadcasted on KBS2 channel in the evening of March 29. The reporter appeared on the scene where Lee Jun Ki was taking photos for the Summer collection of Spris clothing and interviewing him.

When reporter asked Lee Jun Ki whether or not he has the patient waiting for others, Lee Jun Ki answered "About waiting for a person, truthfully I don't have much patient. If I have to wait for a long time, I will get angry with the person who comes late."

Then reporter asked about his habit after drink wine, Lee Jun Ki said "After having a wine, I like to sing or hug people."

When the show "Entertainment Relay" broadcasted, many fans of Lee Jun Ki have left messages on this show’s website as follow "If I met Lee Jun Ki while he was drinking, I would definitely stand by his side until he finished."

Recently, Lee Jun Ki is in Hong Kong to participate in “Pepsi Stars event” which is the musical concert organized by Pepsi on April 1.

When he appeared at the airport, many fans suddenly approach close to him that made his shoe off his foot. He didn’t feel embarrassed and looked back to find his shoe to put it on.

Lee Jun Ki Chosen as New Model for Pepsi | 2008.04.02

Popular Korean actor Lee Jun Ki has been chosen as the new model for Pepsi Cola in China along with other young Asian celebrities including Jolin and Louis Koo of Hong Kong.

Lee's management agency said Pepsi chose the Korean actor as its new model for Chinese-speaking countries for his popularity in the region, which was clearly demonstrated during his recent promotional tour in Hong Kong and China. Singer Rain was a former Pepsi model for Chinese-speaking regions.

On April 1, Lee attended a Pepsi Family press event held in Hong Kong. The management agency said Lee signed a one-year contract with Pepsi and that the earnings from the contract is equivalent to that of top celebrities.

The commercial was filmed in February. Although the shooting took place behind closed doors, numerous fans flocked to the site to get a glimpse of Lee.

Lee also signed a shampoo commercial contract with China and is currently shooting a brand new SBS drama that will start airing in mid-May.
