Ugh I forgot, I've seen The Rocky Horror Picture show. I was so disappointed when I finally saw the movie version because a friend of mine had hyped it up so much. I think that a stage version might be more enjoyable though because I've heard the audience gets really into it with costumes and such. Other than that though I thought it was pretty bad though, with the exception of the song "Damn it, Janet!" XD

They do that when watching the movie in a theatre too. It's amazing, I'm an active participant.

Who all has seen Avenue Q? If not, at the very least download the music. Simply Hillarious.

Dislikes-
Play - Importance of being Earnest - Insane director made my life hell as a techie.
Musical - The music man - Never TD a show when the Choreographer doesn't understand half stage scene.

dang..i was looking through this forum..and had realised most of you have mentioned musicals...last one i saw was Buddy Holly...that was time ago...but the latest theare Production i saw was with my Drama Group...and we've seen many good ones...my favorite was at the Fortune theater ..and we went to see "The Woman In Black"..and i tell you now..its one of the most frightening performances i have ever seen....its soooo scary...but i enjoyed it...also ive seen "Gladiator Games"...which is another of my favourites...and it was based on a true story.about a psychopathic racist who was sharing a prison cell with pakistani asian..who was later on brutallly murdered by the racist...very effective drama....furthermore..i also saw one called "Bouncers"/...which is about Romford Clubbing life style in the `980s...it was good...aww...man im gonna miss drama

I think some of the best musicals were by Busby Berkeley. I have three of his films Gold Diggers of 1933 and 35 are really good. The Dame sequence in 'Dames' is really nice. I mostly like the ones with Eleanor Powell Queen of Tap.

Well, I remembered I watched this "McBeth" play before and it was great.
I also like "Off Centre" (introduce by my friend) from Singapore.
It was done by Haresh Sharma and the Necessary Stage.
It depicts the lives of mental paitents and how much difficulty they go through, facing with mainstream society who has a really sterotypical mindset.
Overall it was really touching and impactful. It left me in deep thoughts.

i haven't been to too many in recent years. in high school i got cheap entry so i went all the time.

the club would still be my favourite australian stage production. it's funny as hell and still holds a message that is relevant today. other than that, there was this group who did absurdist shakespeare, they where so rad, loved going to their productions.

i haven't been in any professional productions but i did street performance and played mcduff twice in our drama class production.

Well, when I went to New York I got to see performances of Phantom of the Opera and Fiddler on the Roof.

I've also seen a taped version of the London performance of Oklahoma! <<the one w/ Hugh Jackman in it. And a taped version of a performance w/ the original cast of Into the Woods.

I was part of my high school performance of Annie Get Your Gun, and my high school also did a performance of Oliver.

Mostly I've only seen the movie adaptions, and I own several of them. Paint Your Wagon, Annie, Annie Get Your Gun Rent, Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago, Grease, South Pacific, Hairspray *the newer version not the sucky one w/ Ricky Lake*, Holiday Inn, White Christmas, Guys and Dolls, State Fair, and others but I can't think of any more...

Oh and I recently got to see Sweeney Todd <<excellent, Johnny Depp did an amazing job.

Edit: I forgot, I've also seen a live performance of Forever Plaid.
