Throughout my whole anime life I have seen great classics, some with happy endings and others with sad endings but at least have great morals with it. However there are anime where I got to say you could've done a better job then that (my examples, I hope no one gets offended).

1. Maburaho (A sad ending for someone who can't make up their mind on who the main character goes with)

2. Magikano (They ended it like the show never existed, the Cat Panties however was my favorite character).
Those are the only ones I can think of right now, so please let me know your worst.

i thought that maburaho's ending was the main guy having multiple clones . . .

and magikano . . . i forgot what was the ending

but still sensing that this is a dupe . . .

Fate Stay Night-I was really hoping those two didn't get separated at the end of the story, but still ,they could really make a second season out of them(I wish they do)
School days-It got a decent opening ,good storyline ,goo looking characters ,but the ending really blows everything up come on animator how could you even think on making such a scary ending
Magikano-Really the ending, where everything is rewinded, isn't my type of ending
Air Gear-The story is like only half written and leaves much untold

It wouldn't be all too surprising to see a half-assed anime get a half-assed ending. It's just when fantastic anime get a lousy ending that’s it really worth ranting about. Many of these cases are those were the production staff just quit and left a lot strings tangling that you’re expected by reading the manga.
1. As previously mentioned, Inuyasha went unfinished with Naraku and his major henchmen still alive. In general, many of Rumiko Takahashi’s anime remain unfinished.
2. GTO, was a fantastic comedy anime and how do they end it, they have the kickass title character running like a coward to America even though he was supposed to stay in Japan and go through an awe-inspiring climax that they did in the manga.
3. Probably one of the greatest misfortunes in all of anime was His and Her Circumstances. Here they were actually aiming for an acceptable anime ending, but that didn’t pan out, because the production team was so screwed up that the director actually had the nerve to leave his show mid-series and leave anime to dissolve into a pile of crap.
