Communism is the perfect type of government. if communism functioned like it should it would be the perfect type of government; but, it doesn't its simply put an idealism. why is it an idealism? simply put because power corrupts people it makes them become full of greed and selfish intent. both china and Russia say there a communist government; yeah right! don't make me laugh more like a dictatorship!

Maybe it would have turned out better if Stalin did not take over. At least the Russians didn't have to deal with selfish czars anymore.

Let's be real here. No capitalism means no anime and many other things we love. What do you guys think?

The corruption that occurs within the actual enactment of communism isn't entirely top heavy. It actually runs throughout and it happens simply because humans have a tendency to look out for themselves rather than for the greater good. People want more, bigger, better, and they want it sooner than later. They also want to be better than everyone around them, to be looked up to and viewed favorably. The ideal of communism really doesn't have any room for that and that is a big reason why it becomes corrupted when actually put into action. North Korea is also a communist government and it's obviously not working out so well for the general populace.

China and Russia were/are not dictatorships. The people still have some sort of say in political affair. They were socialist states at best. A dictatorship places a leader in sole power of the military and legislature.

China has a national congress which meets to review any new policies and laws. The must approve anything that the State Council suggests. So they don't place power in one person, instead it is spread out among elected leaders although they are still all communists.

that's not true if people enjoy anime it would be free for all of the communist. simply put the people who would enjoy animation can get a career in that field. sure they wouldn't get paid in money; but they in turn would get a piece of everything else in the nation. you see you decide the career whatever it may be and contribute your skills for the benefit of the rest of society. Kanko your thinking about nations that supposedly followed communist ideals; but they became corrupted by power and in turn became tyrants. Actually communism is more of a bartering system.

They actually aren't considered a communist government, even by their standards. Russia's purpose (back when they were still the USSR) was to strive to become a communist government. Until total equality had been achieved, the leader (Lenin, Stalin, etc) would serve to dictate the country. Of course, they were power hungry and this perfect equality was never achieved.
China on the other hand is becoming more and more accepting of entrepreneurship as private businesses are opening up all over the place. Invisible Hand Theory ftw.

Good point. So then everyone would get to enjoy anime as long as they contribute to society. Too bad it doesn't work...

Its a great idealistic philosophy, but like all idealistic philosophies it will never work for one simple reason...It involves human beings...

LOL! So true. I wish communism would work but I doubt it. Democracy may be the best government right now. It's not perfect but as long as live in this world, we aren't either.

your right seighton people only think of themselves. despite the fact that we were made in God's image our nature caused us to sin against God. throughout the history of man people have committed great acts of selfishness and greed to fulfill basic needs and desires.

You mean Lenin. Stalin came after Lenin.

Exactly my point. Lenin seemed to have done a better job. That's why I said, "take over" not start.
