Trotsky is still remembered, not as much as Stalin and Lenin though. Hell, the 5th grade field trip for Russians near Moscow (I think its Moscow at least) is to see Lenin's preserved body. But, communism in theory still isn't perfect. Unless in this theory you make sure everyone doesn't mind that they're getting paid equally and some are doing 10x more work than others. I mean, even without the corrupt leader, no corrupt leader = no fear = no appreciation for equal wages = dislike for communism. But if in this theory thats accounted for then I guess it works in theory.

I'm reading a biography on Ho Chi Minh for school and I'm not really convinced that the three provinces of Vietnam shouldn't have gone communist after WWII. In an agrarian society dominated by oppressive upper class land owners, it was almost like the French colonials were trying to recreate the conditions of the French Revolution, except with elements of racism and subjugation mixed in. Nations shift in politics based upon the beliefs of the majority, and the majority of the Vietnamese would have totally profited from communism, or at least land redistribution. Obviously, the red scare has become moot at this point, but I think U.S. interference went against everything this country is said to stand for. I think communism would have done a world less damage than the conflict that ensued.

Communisum is very hard to do and get right in a country. and maybe a city. It could only work in towns and villiages. When you get out of that domain its easy to corrupt nd gain rulers.

The only great form of communism took placed during Stalin's reign. Except for Stalin, however, communism is utter crap. We can see this by looking at the wealth of nations of contemporary countries.

Communism is the perfect type of government. if communism functioned like it should it would be the perfect type of government; but, it doesn't its simply put an idealism. why is it an idealism? simply put because power corrupts people it makes them become full of greed and selfish intent. both china and Russia say there a communist government; yeah right! don't make me laugh more like a dictatorship!

see that is why its imperfect:it corrupts its leaders. communism is wrong because it takes over capatolist(free market countries)nations and institutes ideas that are to my disliking such as atheism, restriction of speech, and many other unalienable rights as thomas jefferson put it, i believe. another thing, is it really right that everyone should be exactly the same in a financial way? should everyone have the same ammount of money even if they dont work for it?should others lose money because someone else doesnt have as much as they do? communism is just an extreme form of socialism and i already dont like socialism nor did Partner, and rightly so.

Idea? Great
Reality? Not so great.

I believe a bit of communism with the limiting of certain thing is needed.

Some people jsut can't control themselves.

Communism strips humans of their individuality.
Humans aren't responsible enough to live under Communist rule. That's just our nature.

In theory, communism works. In reality, I would have a biased opinion because I don't know how it is to live in a Communist society and living under Democracy and all its perks seem to be working just fine to me.. for now.
