I like both subs and dubs. But in Naruto I prefer the subs. In Full Metal Alchemist I prefer the dubs.  |

Kare Kano had by far some of the best english dubs I've ever heard. Every character was exactly how they shuld have been.
Other than that Full Metal Panic had great dubs.

Ghost in the Shell, Full Metal Alchemist, and FLCL are the three anime's I would choose dub over sub. Ghost in the Shell has so much stuff going off at one time that its easier to listen than trying to read and watch whats going on in show. FMA just has great dubs, and FLCL dub translates the jokes better than a sub would, seeing that they're puns and innuendos.

The Elfen Lied Dubs I have arent that bad but I'll always prefer Subs. Although maybe its cuz alot of the voices in the subs dont annoy me like some of the english dubs. Personally Eds Dub voice in FMA I dont really like it.

I first saw naruto on toonami, watched it for a whole on that, and then when I wanted to go crazy fast through the story, I went sub, and when I heard narutos voice I was like "What a lil bitch" then I got used to it. It fits him better cause he has a lot of complaining scenes. FMA is pretty good, Bebop, oh my freaking god Samurai Champloo kicks ass in english, first time I saw the diary ep was in english and Mugens reaction to what Fuu wrote were freaking hiliarous. I want to see hellsing in english, seems like it would be kick ass.
On a side note, whenever in the subs the characters use english word its wierd, like they say "Sthanks" or "Sthanks you" instead of thanks and thank you. Dude thanks is a weird word, doesn't look nice.

By far the worst dubs ive heard was in PeaceMaker, it was horrible everyone had a southern texas accent and there was alot of crossdressing going on... too much for my taste. Normally I dont mind a southern accent but in a anime that takes place in japan... its a lil off. Also Naruto dub makes me want to throw my tv out the window.

I agree that Samurai Champloo's dubbing rocks, but I think Trigun's dubbing was great also.

But Vash and Ichigo have two completely differen't voices. Vash is more or less a complete goof ball, incredibly optimistic, rarely takes himself seriously, and sounds kind of like Goku to me. While Ichigo is pissy and yells a lot.
I'm looking forward to see if JYB can pull it off.

I am not too sure about JYB voicing over Ichigo. I personaly can't imagine it. It could either be a success, or a failure.Only September 9th, we will know the turn out.

To be honest, I prefer subs over dubs. There was never a time when English was incorporated so well into an anime. If there was a time, then I don't know of it.
