i loveeee english dubs screw the japs ! english owns xD

but really, i dont mind them ive kinda got used to DBZ and pokemon dubs. but naruto dub makes my ears bleed

oh and outlaw star and cowboy bebop as stated above.

hey heres something u should do, go kill ur self right now. yes im seriously do it right now. " screw the japs " u say? without them u wouldn't have anime, u'd have terrible hella bad cartoons

if u dont f**king like it gtfo

as for my opinon on dubbing;

Dubbs are bad, the voices are not original to their true character, which their personalities are diminished.

Dubbing will always be bad, they will permamently " NERF " the true character they are voicing.

final thought;

Dubs are bad, always will be no matter who the voice actor / actress is.

blimey i was just kidding damn so serious, its just a forum post jeez take a chill pill

ur post was about hate, if ur hating gtfo ktnxbai

Not all dubs are bad. Jeez there are plenty of nicely dubbed shows. I personally thought that the Kenshin, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Blood+, FMA, DBZ, Elfen Lied, etc dubs all were generally well done. Of course there are bad ones but you can't be that close minded to think that all of them are bad.

Only the old school dubbed anime sounds good to me. Like Pokemon and DBZ. Ever since I started watching subbed anime, dubbed animes sound weird to me.

Subs suck. Not because I mind watching them. I turn on subtitles on english shows anyway and read them. I don't like them because japanese voice actors are terrible. I cannot take a show seriously when a sad moment sounds angry. Or when a happy moment sounds angry. Or when an angry moment still sounds angry. Or when a weird moment occasionally sounds sad when it shouldn't and the moment that is supposed to be sad still doesn't sound sad.

Maybe a lot is lost in translation but I translate a lot more from the emotions conveyed in the voices than in the words themselves. Maybe it's a subtlety lost on me but japanese voice actors don't sound anything but mad. Maybe it's not a good job there..... ^.^

so ur saying the ORIGINALs are bad? the seiyuus are hand picked to portray each individual character, so us viewers can see their personallities. Japanese voice actors / actresses acutally try hard, use unique voices to fit their characters, enjoy their work, and are enthusiastic to voicing their characters.

DUBS = have randomly picked ppl voice characters. They have no enthusiasm, no uniquness and they are just bland. THE ONLY voice actor I have heard that was even decent was the guy who voiced Inu yasha ( dunno the guy's name ) and Sesshomaru ( dont know his name either )

For ppl who NEVER watch anime in it's originality, they only hear the DUBBED voices and think its good.

try watching the originals then compare it to the dubbs, u'll see why ppl hate em so much.

I like subs too, but I mean, I accidently started watching bleach in english, and I was quite fooled by their voices actually being that until I started watching it in jap again. I think they're not too bad =P

I have to go with the original it justs sounds so much better and natural, and after you watch an Anime in its original and then watch it dubbed you might notice that you get picky and annoyed with the dubbed version.

Such as with Bleach I hate Orihime's voice >.< it sounds much better in the original.
But thats just my opinion on the matter.

For me it depends on which i see first(or get used to) I saw FMA and FLCL and some other with the dub so i would rather watch them in english, however i can't get used to bleach or naruto because i watch to many eps subbed. the only exception is Kenshin, watched it dubbed for most of it but i prefer the sub.

I have friends who will not watch an anime unless it is in english. only problem is they don't have cable so the only anime they have seen is db, dbz, and dbgt. They have the net but i refuse to show them how to get anime unless they watch the subs

i prefer the original to subbed anime...japanese knows what best voice suits the anime character's personality.

probably the only english dubs that i like/ are really good are the Miyazaki films (Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc.). The dubs for Fruits Basket are pretty good! the worst are probably Naruto and One Piece. I mean, you can't have Sanji (from One Piece) sound like an alcoholic and high on drugs...it doesn't work like that!
