The only dubs I've ever really liked are The Guyver (the original OVA) Lain, and Neia_7 apart from that, they're usually pretty horrendous.

And for the record, English is a pretty difficult language to learn. There are so many more rules for grammar and tense and sentence structure than in a logical language like Japanese where everything tends to stay where it's supposed to.

Ah Naruto. I hadn't seen the anime dubbed until I was about 100 episodes into the fansubs. When it finally showed up on YTV in Canada I almost died. The "Believe it" drove me nuts. Especially in the games. A few friends and I organized a drinking game and downed a shot every time we heard Naruto say "Believe it!" in the first PS2 game.

Or at least... I think we did. Everything from that night is foggy.

Dubs are great subs are great to. I don't hate unless it sucks on an atomic scale. So far I haven't encountered a dub that sucks. I fell the naruto dub is good, the bleach one is good so far but lets hope they don't screw it up. All in all I prefer to watch an anime in english cause I don't have to read those damndable subtitles.

I despise English dubs, why spoil an original why not just watch subs, they allways dub over the sound effects

I use to hate fucking subs but now, I'm watching more subs than english dubs.

I think both have their negativities, it just depends on who fits the character best.

Perhaps I already said this, but Love Hina bad some not-so-good dubs. By that I mean, Su's and kitsune's voices sound horrible. Keitaro's sounds pretty odd. But the others suit them.

very little dubs are good. dbz was a good dub in my opinion. i mean the dubbed version fits the character but the japanese version is so blah sounds like a scronny person.
