GTA is a great example of a great game
although it should make it more realistic like for example
i was chasing this guy with a bike and when he made a turn
he was gone forever......

A game with a great storyline will always beat a game with just good graphics ^^ ..for me it is absolutely essential for a game to have a great storyline (thats coz i love to play RPGs). All the other things will just have to come after the story (graphics, music, ect.). I often re-finish my old RPGs (suikoden I, FFVII, Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon) because they satisfy my need for great games with great stories..that is most often lacking in RPGs nowadays. I think that recent RPGs are declining because they overly emphasize on great graphix rather than making the story or gameplay great well that's me anyways.

Storyline, battle system matters. I think graphics are one of the important things too. Characters don't really matter, cause you eventually get attached to the character when you're playing the game. x]

Gameplay (including the length of it and if it's worth replaying), and a storyline.
Graphics IMO are just like a package, if it looks nice it's good if not well then the content just has to be good;)

As far as im concerned what makes a good game is a good story line. You could have the greatest graphics, battle system, and sound effects but with out a good story line it falls apart and doesnt become a great game. With out a great story line I think the game isnt worth playing.

I agree 100%, with out a good story line a game is crap. I play some NES and SNES games that are better then some new games. IT ISN'T ALL ABOUT GRAPHICS. I hate people that say it is.

i think that graphics are important but story matters strongly as well. ppl think that just becuase a game has the best graphics ever that it beats everything out there. not true. some of the few games that have good graphics and a good storyline are: Jak and Daxter Series, Gears of War, Halo 3, and Call of Duty 4.

1.Good Story line (the main factor of a good game)
2.'Unique battle system/Gaming interface'(nice/good battle sytem doesn't really work anymore)
3.Good Graphics
4.Lastly a lively/nice Virtual Enviroment (one which almost looks real or close to it)
5.Longer Cutscenes (lol - can rest my hands)

Graphics, story, gameplay, and the game lasts at least a day and a half or has lots of replay value or good multiplayer/online.
