Real mafias are cruel, dirty and unforgiving; they even kill their own family members at the slightest hint of disloyalty. While some Mafia Families are benevolent and cared for their community, most are just downright cruel and rapacious. What I don't like about this show is the whole idea that mafias are something to be tolerated and revered when in reality they are the last people you ever want to associate with.

There are plenty of films that glorified organized crime before that, like the Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface, etc etc. And those films play the mafia portrayals completely straight. Hitman reborn is a silly comedy, so it can take a serious subject and make it as light-hearted as it wants. If you don't like an anime , that's one thing, but I really think your hatred for this show is completely for the wrong reason.

demondog89 6230 cr points Send Message: 23 / M / Far west texas Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 12/2/12, edited 12/2/12 The movie AKIRA, I just didn't really care for the story and I HATE the art style (this is a probably stupid reason but I can't get past it.. the style it was drawn annoys me) I started watching one piece last year; an anime I avoided when it first came out because the art style seemed cartoonish but after watching it decided I really liked it but akira... no. edit: my bad, I just noticed the date of the last post above mine but oh well. I've already added a response.

But I guess neither of those were too popular Oh, and I forgot to add that I dropped Kaichou wa maid-sama after like two episodes. I have no idea why people like it.
