Have you ever talked to a korean, japanese or chinese? In person?
Posted 9/29/08
umm, do you mean talk to asians in general, or in their own language, or either or? in anycase, i talk to chinese people in chinese everyday - my family. though we speak canto since my parents are from hong kong. i have a friend who's korean & another who's japanese, but i speak to them in english, since i don't speak korean or japanese, & they don't speak canto.

i usually talk to everyone i meet, meaning, different races and stuff, i had lots of conversations with some korean friends of my friends and the relatives of my chinese friend, also to my japanese nephew.. well what can i say, i know a bit of their language so why not use it right?

actually my fave is korean coz it's easy to speak, second is japanese coz i'm like trained for this one coz of my nephew and last is mandarin which blows my brains out.. it just needs you to roll your tongue over and over and it confuses me a lot.. lol

it's fun speaking other languages..

Well let's see...

I live in Japan in month/2 so yeah I use to talk to Japanese people!

Then when I go back to France, there are so many chinese people (including friends) so yeah, I talk to Chinese people.

And my ex-boyfriend was Korean (and I often go to Korea) so I guess that means yes...

But do you think it's rare to speak to asian people? it's really common I think

of course I always talk to chinese ; those are so near to me.
I have spoken to a korean girl, we bumped in an elevator. She was friendly.
Japanese? There was a japanese boy who said " hi " to me but we didn't talk.
He was a tourist.

Hmmm, all three at the same time. Kkk, usually I talk to them in English, but specially the koreans like to slip to Korean all the time!!! But that's one of the reasons why I'm learning Korean anyway. Kkk. And some words in Japanese because my korean friend major is Japanese and the other is English, but he lived in Japan for 5 years, so when we all get together is crazy, poor Lin, the only chinese in the group, but if she writes in chinese characters the koreans and japanese people understand, kkk. But now I have to see them only through Skype and at the most crazy times.
