~ What do you think? Well, not everyone eats rice so it's acceptable that they don't know what a rice cooker is. with the exception that that person isn't asian because if he/she is then...i don't know what to say
~ Do you know what a rice cooker is? of course, what would i ever do without rice?
~ Do you have one? my family does, but someday i will own one of my own
~ Do you know anyone who doesnt know a rice cooker? i don't think so
~ Discuss anything you want about it. It's just stereotyping that all asian should know what a rice cooker is, some asians that live in america are white washed so they don't know and they probably don't eat rice as much...i hate it when i cook something to eat and there's no rice. then i have to like wait forever...sucks
~ Do you think of it as a convenience or a hassle? convenience because i don't like to cook it the hard way...takes to long...though it would be easier if i don't have to wash it.

If you don't know what a rice cooker is then I think that's a pretty sure sign that you're a redneck.

It's worth noting that rice cookers, while convenient, usually seem to cook more slowly than you can cook rice on an oven with a pot.

ZOMG!! really!! I never knew that.. I thought it was faster since my rice cooker only takes 30 mins. I never timed a normal way of cooking, so I dont really know.
~ Dont ask, why I time it. ~

Please dont start it, I would rather agree for the mods to lock this as stupid (but please dont) than being locked because of an argument! Stick to the topic! And I live in the south, not all people knows what a rice cooker is...(one of those people is the one who told me, "What is a rice cooker.") =_=

I have a rice cooker but not a high tech on like in the picture. it is useful but not anything to get excited about. I don't ask people whether they have a rice cooker or not.

~ What do you think?
I've always wanted to have an expensive rice cooker. I have a medium priced rice cooker in the kitchen but blarg its not fancy enough! I want a fancier one.

~ Do you know what a rice cooker is?
Yes of course, its essential for life.

~ Do you have one?
In my house we have 3 rice cookers. 2 very old ones, ones a white old one that we use for cooking only white rice, and its old and thats all it makes. It doesn't even have the whole "button" thing, its just this switch that you toggle. One thats the size of a football that's in my room for when i need rice and what rice. But now its not in my room because i put it downstairs =D 3rd is a red one, its a nice pressure rice cooker! But if you open it while it's cooking, it could explode so i have to be careful when i decide to open it. It's a really nice rice cooker though, i love it.

~ Do you know anyone who doesnt know a rice cooker?
Some of my white friends don't have one. I couldn't believe it, I ask "how do you eat rice?" They cook it on the stove.

~ Discuss anything you want about it.
Would you buy a rice cooker because it looks nice, or because its efficient? Personally I want one thats both, but i really don't know. When it looks nice, i usually just think "oh its efficient" -_-"

Also, does anyone eat straight from the rice cooker? Like, not even bothering using the bowl? I do sometimes, but no one else i know does. So i began to think it's an uncommon thing.

Oh, and does anyone have a rice scoop? They're those white flat fat spoon things with the bumps on it. I don't know how to explain. Everyone uses regular spoons, and i think thats weird! XD When scooping rice, you need a rice scoop.

Btw, does anyone use rice cookers to make anything other then rice? We use rice cookers to make cinnamon tea...But does anyone else make anything in a rice cooker? XDD

~ Do you think of it as a convenience or a hassle?
Convenience! Cook rice without watching the stove! Make's it nice and sticky but not too sticky if you know what you're up to.
