i didn't get moe too when i first heard it, but I did my homework.. you're welcome to copy off me

Moe (萌え, Moe? /mo.e/, pronounced "mo-eh" literally "budding", as with a plant) is a Japanese slang word originally referring to fetish or love for characters in video games or anime and manga. For example, 眼鏡っ娘萌え, meganekko-moe, "glasses-girl moe", describes a person who is attracted to fictional characters with eyeglasses.

"Moe!" is also used within anime fandom as an interjection referring to a character the speaker considers to be a moekko. It is even used in some anime, such as Ouran High School Host Club, Lucky Star, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. An essential quality of moe is that the person feels protective towards the character - too protective to sexualize the character as lolicon.

Since then, the term has come to be used as a general term for a hobby, mania or fetish (non-sexual) — 鉄道萌え, tetsudou-moe, "train moe", is simply a passionate interest in trains. A moekko is a character who could be considered stereotypically attractive — youthful and cute.

but i actually copied my homework off someone else.

omg I do! I love Natsume, he values life a lot and that's a nice change for character! One of the best anime guy characters, doens't need to play "kakkoi" role with flowers in the background to just know he is in fact very cool.
