Better than Twilight:

Repossessed
[A.M. Jenkins] - very UNDER-RATED. Humor abound. This book is a wonderful read to those who'd like to see a demon (rather, "Fallen Angel") possess a teenager.
Harry Potter I and III [J.K. Rowling] - kinda overrated, but there's a reason for its popularity - uh, an understandable reason, anyway.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Silver Chair [C.S. Lewis] - C.S. Lewis' works are just so fun to read.
Blood Canticle [Anne Rice] - There's a certain quality to Anne Rice's vampire novels that make them different. I do not like her as a writer too much, but her presentation of vampires were fascinating.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven [Mitch Albom] - This was an extremely touching story.
The Book Thief [Markus Zusak] - I happen to love reading YA fiction, and this only heightened my love for it. Also slightly overrated, but so WORTH IT. It may seem quite boring at first, but the writing style drew me in.
Neverwhere [Neil Gaiman] - I love Neil Gaiman's fantastical genius. He has very creative ideas, along with a wonderful plot and a very memorable writing style.
The Saga of Darren Chan - unfavorable grammar and writing style, but interesting and unique concepts let me read this book.
To Kill a Mockingbird [Harper Lee] - This is quite an outdated book, but its themes very much apply to present situations. Part One was quite bland and boring, but Part Two [with the Tom Robinson case] was the more popular, fast-paced part.

...I probably have more books to label WAY WAY BETTER than Twilight, but... nah, I'm lazy XD

Now, I gotta name Choke by Chuck Palahniuk and Night by Elie Wiesel. They're obviously not about vampires but they're both great and I recommend them to everyone.

....

I agree twilight is terrible.

But honestly.
Harry Potter is JUST as bad, if not worse.

I won't go into details.
Good books ay.

+ The Hobbit
+ Princess Bride
+ The Aneid
+ Old Magic
+ Name of The Wind
+ Hour Of The Dragon
+ Earthsea Quartet

And The "Dark Angel" trilogy was a pretty good vampire series.Atleast thats what i THINK it was called.

etc

Harry Potter series(man, I miss them so. Oh well)
Lord of the Rings (I have actually read the books....but after I saw the movie...)
The Chronicles of Narnia (Well, I only read two books of the series, but they're certainly better that Twilight)
Death Note:another Note (um, yeah)
Well, these just come to my mind at the moment.
