What do you need to get off your chest?
Posted 4/10/07
I've fallen for the girl I once told that I could never see her as more than a friend. And it has taught me of my epic stupidity and that never is a really long time.

I'm tired of acting like some servent/maid for my best friend. Shes been there for me all the time but, she bosses me around all the time. I let her boss me around becouse shes my best friend and never made fun of me or anything. I'm beggining to hate her but i dont want her to stop being my friend.... She just makes me so mad sometimes!

Ahh...finally got it off my chest.

I can't even remember how many people i have said this to that are still in high school. it just doesn't seem to register, they tell me im too old and i don't know what its like in high school anymore. Im only 21. Call me a hypocrite because i did the same thing and i didnt listen, mostly because the people telling me the exact same thing, was 9 years older than me, and i was a very stupid kid. But i fucked up, now im painting cars, and will be a laborer for the rest of my life. I hate to see it happen to people who still have a chance. I dont know this is just my rant, reply if you want, i just really had to get this off my chest.

I disagree. High school grades mean jack shit in the real world. As long as you gradutate no one gives a damn. The only time they ever matter is when you are competing to get into elite Ivy league type schools, elite fields, or if you're shooting for scholarships. For your average state university (which is plenty good enough for most needs), just get your diploma with a reasonable gpa (like more than 2.5-3.0, which a monkey can get).

Life is short. Don't waste all of your youth working hard on academics that you'll never use or grades no one cares about. Kids place a higher value on school than it really deserves since they don't have anything else to really relate to. I'm not saying blow off school and pass with D's, but don't waste all your time studying when in the real world, honest to god, a C will do just as well as an A.

Worst case scenario, even if you do royally screw up high school, just go to the military for a few years (if you live in the US), and boom! college paid for as well as them being likely to let you in no matter how bad you did (provided you have a diploma or even GED). I did fine in high school, but I still went the military route and am glad I did. No excuse not go to college anymore.

thats what a generation of under achievers, and people on welfare thought too. im just saying that school itself isnt a place to socialize, and try to be cool, the fact is it is a place to learn, and if your not going there to learn, and have a free education try going to a country that doesnt provide it and see how it is.

im sick of ignorant as people who run around and do what the popular masses tells them. especially when people who were smart like ghandi, einstein, hawkins, MLK, etc... dont get any credit and 50 Cent, and Paris Hilton are role modesl to millions of people.

But a majority of kids believe school sucks and that it's like a prison, I mean kids are dropping out of my school by the dozens, and these aren't dumb kids who can't hack it, a good number are pretty smart kids, things like trying to be cool and fighting are like our version of "Fight club", it's something that sets them free from all the suckage of school and makes them feel alive for a certain amount of time, I'm a loner, who spent most of my school life studying to make good grades, but now that I think of it, I didn't really enjoy my teen years, (turning 18 forced me to realize this), I never even dated, not once, and now I totally regret it

High School has a few functions, only one of which is to educate. The education obtained is proportional to the effort involved in obtaining it. This education is there to help prepare adolescents for greater responsibility as adults. e.g. Being at work on time, being responsible, and putting in effort to accomplish daily tasks - or just having the necessary education to qualify for certain/better job(s), or higher education.

However High School is also essential for teaching the necessary social skills to be a productive and responsible member of society. This is the first proving ground in life’s social jungle.

I cant tell the girl i love how i feel about her b/c she has a boy friend and going out with him for a good year (my arch nemesis is the boyfriend and i swear to you he is my nemesis, like on X hes my other Kamui) and i am truly dead over heels for her

(wanna know i'll tell you, every day for the last year, not a day went by i do not think about her, now in school whenever i see her no matter if im in my best mood or have something awsome happen to me, i feel depressed when i set my eyes upon her, and when i see her and my nemesis together an urge of anger, hate flows though me, hating him, despising him, and also the feel of envy comes to me

Is there actually an accepted IQ test? I've never been able to find a free and legitimate one.

Regarding the high school drama issue, I think while high school is a place to learn and achieve high grades to become successful in life, being able to communicate with people is equally important. No one is going to give a damn about your A in calculus in high school, or even in college. Socializing is an easy and clear way to relieve stress from the academic life a student leads. Of course, screwing around all day and skipping classes isn't a great idea either. If a person needs to socialize and relax a little in school in order to come to terms with all the stress he/she puts up with, then so be it.
