In the Phil. I think the 1st non-filipino asian drama aired was Bright Girl (Korean), starring Jang Nara, and it was preceded by the ever popular- Meteor Garden, and the Endless love sequel....and so on the list goes on--( TW and K dramas evading the Phil. Tv..)

Seemingly, Korean dramas are way more acknowledged than TW dramas----ie -
Kdramas are always on primetime..., while TW are broadcast on the afternoon or morning shows...

...I'm curious---does this trend goes on with other asian countries?---what I mean--is the korean drama trend consistent in other asian countries?

or which is the most popular in asia--..J, K or TW dramas.....?

i think Korean drama really hits Malaysia after the Winter Sonata been aired here.....from there the Korean Drama been so famous and aired in most of Malaysian TV.

now there are so many K-drama that have been aired in Malaysia...but if we want 2 watch it earlier we just go and buy it because TV can be late sometimes...

J-Dorama still have its own fans even there are so many new drama hits our shore....maybe because J-dorama have something that K-Drama n Tw-Drama hv 2 offer!

I think the most acknowledged drama type in Malaysia my country is Hong Kong Dramas ..but if you choose between J/K/TW its definitely Korean Dramas bcuz not that many people like Jdramas...TW comes 2nd and JDrama last

I've also seen j-dramas in tv (but there not the one that I like)

i really hope that our country's tv station not only imports k dramas but also its variety shows, sitcoms.... since sitcoms here are dull and boring.... at least for me.....
