Depends if the dub is good or not. As an example I liked the dubbed Berserk episodes alot better then the subbed ones because I felt the voices fit the characters alot more.

I just can't take dubs seriously.. I mean - The english Voice Actors just don't got the same "Cowbell" as if they just didn't care much about it, as for the Japanese Voice Actors - It's a lifestyle :o

Dno if you can understand it or not, but it's the best way i can describe it :p

English voice-acting is generally pretty bad. They don't seem to take it seriously enough here, like they do in Japan. Probably because they're usually trying to use actors who are doing voice-dubbing as sidework. In Japan voice-acting is a career in itself, and they do a lot more radio shows than in the U.S.

Usually when people talk about english-voiced anime, I tend to think of some terribly interpreted moe character or a daytime kids tv show. But if we are talking about catblue dynamite, I would say that the english voicovers are a central part in creating it's 70s feel. I don't go for dubs much, but in this case i think any japanese voice actors would have trouble keeping up with the american voice actors.

Dub because the translations can be more accurate as there is no need to fit the english words with the movement of the mouths that are speaking japanese. Also, as japanese usually sounds shorter, I'm always afraid that some parts/way of saying things must be left out to fit the dub time. Also, I get tired of all the characters from different shows having the same voice acter. I know there are some that are the same in japanese, but either it's rarer (there are more voice actors) or I just don't notice it as much. I also agree with bendunnb4, english voice actors often don't do as good of a job in conveying emotion (and sometimes have really bad immatational accents).

No the Dub in this was really good. Really helps bring out the 70's setting the anime. Usually dubs arn't very good but I gotta say that this was really well done. Image

Has anyone of you even researched about this show? This show is ORIGINALLY IN ENGLISH. Just beacuse its an anime, it doesnt have to be Japanese. I didn't know crunchyrollers never heard of english anime. This shows that a lot of people jump to conclusions without doing any research at all.

This show has been subbed in Japanese so that it can be shown in japan.

Its a Japanese produced anime but its 100% english dialoague with japanese subtitles!

http://www.anime.com/Catblue_Dynamite/

Quoted from the website above : "If this doesn't pique your interest, just wonder how a Japanese anime with 100% English dialogue and Japanese subtitles sound like."

So to simply put it, this thread and poll fails!

I'm not just talking about Catblue Dynamite, I mean anime in general. Like Welcome to the NHK. This poll is just so that we can see what the majority of users like.

But it makes not freaking sense. you are asking in a forum for catblue dynamite related thing abt whether people prefer the dubbed version or the subbed version of catblue dynamite right? But catblue dynamite isnt even dubbed in the first place. Although u ma mean a different thing. but placing it in this forum it means its related to the show which is not as CATBLUE DYMANITE ISNT DUBBED!!!

Yes, yes, I get it. Then should the poll be changed to English or Japanese? You can just take the title into context, no need to get anal on the internet.

I like subtitles way more than dub. With dub, I can't get the feel from the japanese language. Sometimes the way japanese says it gives a different feeling than in english.
