Hello!
I want to ask all of you, that are renting a home, how much do you pay for rent?
For me, it's 1200 dollars in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA.
I want to know what the pricing was for other places.

In Broward County, Florida, is about the same. $1300 for a 2 room apt, $2000 for a house.

What?! Are you guys rich to pay rent like that?

Edit: You can rent houses? Over here you either buy a house or you rent an apartment...

Wow, where do you live? It must be terrible for landowners to not be able to give rent on their own houses.

I live in the Bay Area (CA), so apartments alone can sometimes be around $2000. D:

I used to live in Montgomery County, Maryland ^_^ I lived in Wheaton, Silver Spring, and Germantown ^_^ Right now we live in Nashville and pay $1,269 to live in a 2k sq. ft. house. In Maryland we lived in a 1.2k sq. ft. Town house that we paid $950 a month for (that was in 1998)

In germany. Well, over here no one pays rent for houses. If they can't afford to pay at once they take on a credit to pay off the house. But really, it's two different things here. I never heard of anyone my age wanting to rent a house, it's too big and usually not located near downtown.

Here, houses are about as expensive as apartments. The prices vary from landowner to landowner. However, if you choose to get a house instead of an apartment, you usually get more living space so it's a plus. I found that in my area, houses and the commercial districts are well integrated. Therefore, I guess it's more natural here than Germany to rent houses.

the apartment that my dad owns goes something like 600 for 3 of the rooms and 900 for the newest deluxe one. This is in DE semi rural area though. Sry I don't have many more details to provide such as square feet.

Ha, I pay so much a month in mortgage it would make most of you cry...where I live in Maryland anyway. In Baltimore, much cheaper, I could have fifteen houses for what I pay closer to Annapolis.

My grandparents owned an appartment In Gaithersburg, MD. they paid like $80k in the 70's for it, and then were able to resell for $200k. Property in Maryland is really booming now, which isn't such a good thing for ppl who seek to potentially move back (Like myself)
