A lot of these threads Lol.
Well, I drift - I enjoy myself a lot. A lot of people do it to impress people; hell at first thats why I orginally got into it. My friends got me into it before Tokyo Drift came out so 240sx parts were soooo easy to get... so affordableee, but when that movie came out.. All of that CHANGED drastically. Now everyone is tokyo drift in this biatch. Back to point - I drift, I go to the track. Its alright... Kinda an expensive hobby - Tires cost, Allignment gets raped... That would be a problem IF I didn't work at a Tire shop. Lol... Uhm... Moral of this story is. Its good if you do it for your own kicks and giggles, dont' get into it to simply impress friends. Its dangerous to do it on the street so DON'T do that... Also, it's actually pretty dangerous at the track too so be careful Lmmfao xD.

I don't do it because my car is FF car. Even if I had a RWD I probably wouldn't do it. I don't have the money to renew my tires all the time -_-

I don't think FF cars should be used to drift anyways. I might end up flipping my car or something.

yea he said it.. b/c when it rains, it doesnt put too much pressure on the tires,
however, the road is slippery, so its easier to crash, if there isnt control..

if u have any local pick and pulls u can usualy get really cheap tires like 5.00 a pice.

also if u hit up the local tire changin places some times they will sell off or give away the old tires that still have some tred left on em. i wouldent use em for the highway but there fine just to go burn up in a parking lot.

I found that using a car no one would think of using as a drifter was the way to go. Using a 240 or S13 or whatever they're called(sorry, I'm kinda ignorant with respect to the import models...) really is an expensive choice these days. I use a 1981 chevy malibu 4-door. Cost me all of $400 for the rolling chassis. It's not the coolest looking car, but it definately looks different from everything else. Oh and the question? Drifting is the hardest, yet funnest thing I've ever done with a car! Nothing else even comes close.

your right i was talkin about the 240sx. there is multiple versions s13 s14 s15 180sx 200sx 240sx. i got mine before drift was popular in the states and prices were crazy so im alredy kinda invested in the car i alredy have.

theres no way in hell ide buy one now days. i like my car and all but even the 2k i payed for it years ago was a bit high then.

The only good thing is when some of the richer tokyo drift wanna bees go get one and supe it up then go and wrap it arround a tree its makes for some cheaper upgrades when they part it out lol.

i feel bad for the car tho : ( I hate to see a good machine get fuked up because of some retard behind the wheel tryin to show off.
