training humans to drink blood is almost impossible. It is a hard-wired instinct for us to throw up if we've swallowed a large amount of blood, and i know this firsthand as well. (I had surgery on my tonsils, the stitching broke, and i swallowed all the blood that came out...about 2L) Turning off this instinct requires genetic engineering that we can only dream about at this point...

I think you make some really good points. i really think that it is possible, though it would take a really long time to actually work or happen, its like natural evolution. If you think about it our body structures and functions aren't that different from animals, and carnivorous animals live off blood and raw meat their whole lives, suggesting that it is possible for humans to do the same (we did it in the past, when we lived in caves and couldn't cook our food); so in short, I personally think its possible.

That's exactly what I think.

lol I guess. I just mean logically speaking it couldn't happen. Did you just watch I am legend or something I enjoyed that movie.

It would be nice if I could become a vamp (not imortal one though id like to die) but by the time that happened they would be too young for me to date *le sigh* maybe my next life.

No I didn't just watch I Am Legend, nor have I seen it. I wanted to, though.

And true, I would not enjoy immortality... living forever while watching everyone you love die... that has to be the worst penalty you could ever face..

Oh I just meant because I am already bored so living forever doesn't seem glamorous ('.')

you definitely should :3 its a unique way to have vamps.
oh and even the graphic novel version has a different story :)

Sorry, it's just, that's what I think about when I think about being immortal Though, that's true, it would be extremely boring

Hmm.. maybe I will watch it... eventually

You are missing some very important traits:

-Cannot cross running water
-Burned by holy water
-Burned by anything crucifix-shaped
-Turned to ash by sunlight
-Immortality

why anyone would even want vampires is beyond me. might as well make werewolves and a clone army while we're at it then.

ne thing is possible with time...

Jesus ran across water...

Some scientists claim Human minds can change the molecles of water

Humans can develope serious skin irritations through natural evolution...

Over millions of years the sun will get larger, thus everything in its path will turn to ashes

as for immotality...people r currently working on technology that might be able to inegrate human bains...basicially turn humans into cybors or something of the sort...we may complete such technology this cerntury...if not in a million years...peace over war

did u know there is technology being worked on that may enable humans to become cyborgs and live forever?

human organs may evole over millions of years to except blood as a vital source of nutrients if the conditions r right.cyborgs have super natural strength...if people ever created one...peace over war

Replacing limbs to help those who have lost them is completely different thats not natural evolution. Cyborgs to live forever, I'd like to see this source

I am majoring in Biology. ('.') as in study of animals including humans, and no evolution as the other girl has stated is normally to adapt to ones environment. I can not see even in how ever many years that it would be necessary or even help a human to sustain life on blood. Again scientist have already studied that possibility and have busted it.

I can't see the scenrio where a human would need to evolve to be afraid of the sun, and need blood. or have super human strength. Close as you will get is that one crazy queen lady who killed her servants to bath in their blood lol.

(''/)

but im interested in this cyborg thing seriously pm me the link if you can :). I mean I know they just got a mechanical arm working. And the progression of Japanese Robots is amazing, but this cyborg sustaining life?

Jesus ran across water...

-How does that relate to not being able to cross running water?

Some scientists claim Human minds can change the molecles of water
-How does that relate to being burned?

Humans can develope serious skin irritations through natural evolution...

-How would that only apply to cross-shaped objects?

Over millions of years the sun will get larger, thus everything in its path will turn to ashes
-The sun doesn't get larger. It will die out like any other star of its kind. Even if it did grow larger how would that apply only to vampires?

as for immotality...people r currently working on technology that might be able to inegrate human bains...basicially turn humans into cybors or something of the sort...we may complete such technology this cerntury...if not in a million years...peace over war
-That would make them a cyborg.

Very true, I did leave those out. Simply for the fact that every one of those traits are impossibilities.

Cannot cross running water -- I don't even understand this one, sorry...
Burned by holy water -- What water is classified as "holy"?
Burned by anything crucifix-shaped -- If a shape can really affect whether someone gets burned by it or not, then I think I'm going to question the laws of science....
Turned to ash by sunlight -- Unless you're out in the sun long enough to catch on fire, which is impossible as far as I know, then I really don't think anyone's going to be turning into ash...
Immortality -- I don't need to comment on that.

Yes, I am aware that you probably already knew that they are all impossible. But another reason why I left them out is because they are disputable, and not requirements to be able to classify something or someone as a vampire. Or am I wrong?

That's your basic vampire lore right there. How are the in the least disputable?
