Will there ever be a Non-white President?
Posted 4/11/07 , edited 8/20/08
Do you think there will ever be a non-American president? What about the upcoming election in 08? Will there be Asian or Black presidents? What do you think about the topic?

======

EDIT: As a concerned CR member kindly pointed out to me, I meant to say non-Caucasian president XD

EDIT2: JEEZ! As ANOTHER concerned CR member kindly point out....AGAIN....

Do you think there will ever be a non-Caucasian president of the United States of America!

There. Done. Leave it alone. XD

As long as they truely love and want the best for this country I have no problem either way. We have had enough of the leaders who are only out for themselves.

As far as a foreign born american becoming pres...no. Sorry, I can't see the constitution being ammended in that reguard. at least not in my lifetime or that of my children.

I don't mind what race the president is. But if your implying that Obama is going to be elected then I hope not. If so then I am moving to Canada ^_^

yeah i think you mean non-caucasian president....

obama is too inexperienced to be president. i mean, what, 2 years in the senate, and now time for the presidency? wtf? hillary is digging up dirt on him, and she's going to crush him soon enough once the election gets serious. he doesn't stand a chance since he is black and has a muslim background. sure he may sound good on paper, but there are a lot more racist rednecks that vote than people realize...

hillary basically has this election in the bag unless she screws it up herself, which i think may actually happen. see, the democrats basically have this election handed to them on a silver platter. since they think it's a sure thing, they're starting to fight over every single crumb of the pie. because of that, they might just get so nasty and childish about the whole thing to piss all the voters off enough to give the republicans the slight edge they need to win.

seriously, all the dems have to do easily win is find some decent white male candidate with a good back ground, instead they opt for:

1) a black muslim
2) a controversial former first lady
3) a trial lawyer

I think Hillary is electable, and if obama had a lick of sense, he would be more than happy to be her vice presidential candidate. she is a vicous ambitious woman who lets little stand in her way. he is going to become a greasy spot on the road once the gloves come off.

notice how quiet the republicans have been. sure the same old crew is parading around, but none of them will actually get a nomination (sorry mccain, no one will ever in their right mind give you the nomination). they'll find some decent guy with a clean background who has appeal across the board. and that might just be enough to win if the dems fuck themselves over.

personally, i don't trust the republicans anymore. all they've done is fill their pockets with cash by lying to us and taking advantage of the unstable world we live in without actually attempting to fix anytning. sad thing is i'm pretty conservative by nature. can the democrats do better? who knows. but they deserve a chance after all the shit that's happened in the last 8 years in my oppinion. personally, i hope to see hillary win. the woman is downright bloodthirsty and i like that. she might just be the only with enough balls to fix this country (irony intended). obama is getting a lot of money that isn't his very very fast. guess who is going to be running the country if wins - certainly not obama, all the people that invested in him. that concerns me more than his background.

Don't foget Biden. I've met him. Hes a very good debater. But, his big mouth will probably hurt him, such as the obama incident.

I think eventually there will be a different race as president, or a female...

but I don't think someone not american born should be able to be president...just wouldn't seem right, and i don't think a lot of ppl would vote other wise...maybe if they have been here since they were babies...but yeah I say americans represent america

that's what the founding fathers thought, so unless they change the constitution, it's not going to happen

Not the greatest example to use royal families, eg the Danish crown prince married an australian, so she will eventually be queen of denmark. not that it really matters since they do didly squat anyway, other than pose for tourist pictures.

Personally I would be very surprised if Obama got elected, too many conservative people in the states. Though the good news is, doesnt seem like any elected body could do much worse than the present one.

race isn't my concern....I could care less about their nationality as long as they do what's best for our country/world.

If a non-caucasian person ever made president, first comes the uproar, then come the hate crimes, and last but not least, the shooting of the president. I hope that wasn\'t too graphic.
