Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).

I like long manga series.
Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
A nice blend of both is my choice; real life is fun too!

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Love triangles, all the way!

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
I like it to be in the middle.

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
bu
Slice of life is my favorite kind of shojo manga, but I'm also a huge romance-action/adventure fan.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
If it is a mature series (like Nana), then of course. But a childish series (like Shugo Chara)? No, that's wrong.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?

I love sand endings.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?

I like well rounded characters. If a character is too plain, I'd hate her, but if she's too perfect, I'd hate her too. I like to feel that this is not just a manga character, but a piece of the mangaka's soul. A character who matures and grows during the series are my favorites.

it doesn't really matter much...

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
A good balance would be nice

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
I really don't like that reverse harem stuff so just a romance between two people... but love triangles are cool too

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
The middle

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
yup. Another genre makes it more interesting

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
it's fun to watch but not really necessary.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
okay idea...

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
As long as the main character's not the annoying type that surprisingly everybody loves, anything is fine. (no. 1 example, Tohru from Furuba, sorry fans )

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
depends on the kind of story
Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
I want a long ass manga! Short mangas piss me off DDD< They always end too early.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
I like a very serious manga. But I like light mangas too. It's just the serious make me cry harder ><

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
OnO Hard! I love reverse harems, but I'd have to say romance between two main characters. I get my hopes up too high with reverse harems XDDD

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
I HATE WHEN IT'S AT THE BEGINNING! Then it's all ecchi all the way through the rest DDD< But, I like to have romance throughout, just not fast....

I like having side genres. If it were just romance I would be bored. It has to have comedy, action, or something :P

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.

UGH! NONONONO! I hate ecchi! It's all boobs, hips, and ass.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?

GREAT! I love tragic endings! They're the best kind ;D

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Uh....cute and moe = Kyou. Strong and smart = Hikari. I would choose a character like Hikari. I don't care what they look like. As long as their heads aren't HUGE! DDD<

1. medium to long
2. serious w/ splashes of comedy
3. two
4. slow..but not at the end...more in the middle so complications can come up
5. romance comedy is fine...otherwise just focus on the romance
6. ecchi is not necessary, but not bad...too much is totally unecessary
7. tragic ending: really bad idea...I don't want to be depressed after reading something for enjoyment
8. Pretty and relatable to the reader so I'll get more involved with the plot

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters)?
Long.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
hmm...light

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss)?
mainly two people

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
At the end, but I prefer in the middle. If it happens fast, then I'll quickly get tired of their relationship.

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A)?
Romance-comedy/action/fantasy (or supernatural). I can't stand all romance.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary?
NO

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
it maybe good

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?

i think i do both :D

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
romance + other genre. *romance + humour + action + fantasy = best*

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
depends with the graphic i suppose. stoopid graphic will result stoopid echi

Long manga ^^

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Umm it depends on the storyline. I would say that comedy is good ~ I mean, Death Note is pretty serious and still has alot of humor. ^^

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Reverse Harem.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
I would say that it should start with a one-sided romance, then improve their relationship throughout the rest.

ROM-COM <333

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Not necessary ^^

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
No no no no no! D: I love endings when something happens that's really big and seems like there's no hope, but then something happens and everything is better ^^ Take Fruits Basket ending, for example.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
I like it when the main character is shy and quiet, but quite cute. Not strong ~ The hero has to protect her and where's the point in that if she can protect herself? ^^

I feel like this is more for shoujo fans than girls. (Although I am female.)

i]Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters)?
I... mostly just find it funny that 10-15 chapters (2-3 volumes) is short and 30-40 chapters (4-6 volumes) is long ass. What on earth do you call the 100+ chapter series? Regardless, besides the obvious "as long as it's good, it doesn't matter" answer, I lean toward series in the range of around ten volumes. If there's more than ten volumes of awesome? Great, go on for longer. But it seems to me that most series can finish their story in ten volumes or less.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Great serious story > Any light story > Crappy serious story. I can usually enjoy a crappy comedy at least a bit -- SOMETHING ought to be funny somewhere.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Reverse harem series are pretty much guaranteed to get ridiculous, so I prefer love triangles or less.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
There are plenty of good manga where the couple waits until the end, but I prefer seeing characters interact as a couple over watching then awkwardly try to get together. I tend to enjoy already-established side couples over not-yet-together main couples for precisely that reason.

Romance as a side element, unless I'm totally in the mood for straight romance. (Straight as in primarily/only, not as in hetrosexual, btw. [*theatre kid used to the term "straight play"])

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Necessary? Heck no. Okay? Sure, if it's done properly. That is, not "lol look bewbs/chest shot!" but tasteful fanservice.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Most tragic endings are more in the area of "look, it's SAD! You should CRY now!" which tend to be corny. If the ending matches the rest of the story, however (Tokyo Babylon is a good example) they can turn out good.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Eh, "moe" is pretty much a shounen/seinen phenomenon. Few, if any shoujo heroines are made with male readers in mind. Buuut I know what you mean, so! I like seeing my girls with variety. I have a weakness for kickass heroines, but it's far from a crime for a woman to be cute or delicate or just not run around shooting people. As for appearance, I've seen maybe two manga heroines who were plain, so this is a strange question. Manga is an art form where people are idealized in many cases; why not have everyone look pretty?

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Longish mangas are better for me...coz usually if its short the story seems rushed

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
I want it to be funny but have sweet deep moments at the same time...not overly tragic nd boring like the latest chpters of VK

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
I like many choices so I like harem nd its better if its unpredictable who the main char. ends up with

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
The romance should start from the beginning but it shudnt be too predictable and it musnt be too cheesy

I like it to have a different main story ( not all about romance) probably action or sports

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Ecchi is SO NOT necessary

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
hmm depends..if its a corny happy ending type id rather prefer sweet sad tragic

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Strong cute nd smart

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters)?
Depends on the Author, If his/her Imagination is still good, then long, but if if he\she is running out of ideas, then short

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
In between.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss)?
Two people....

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
Uhhh they get together and smooch like.....5-10 chapters before the ending? :)

Romance-comedy, Romance- shojou hehe and sometimes, if it's not too over then romance-maho-shoujo like gakuen alice :)

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary?
NO. I hate ecchi.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
I kinda like longer manga because I develop a better understanding of what the characters are like and why they're doing what they're doing.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
I like comedy every one in a while, but seriousness is good... Okay, lots of comedy. That;'s the kind of thing that keeps me reading.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
I guess I like reverse harems better. It depends on the plot though.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
ROmance should be about half-way, because I kind of like to see how the relationship is after they get together.

Romance-comedy is the best for me, then romance-fantasy, then just romance and finally romance-action. I kind of like most mangas...

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Not necessary. Just an add-on. Most girls I know would not read a manga simply because it's eechi. That's more of a boy thing.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Bad idea, but tolerable. People hate when stuff like that happens. I get disapointed at the end, but I get over it.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
They can't be cute, strong and smart? There are alot of heroines that fit that description. Anyway, I guess pretty, depending on personality and plot.

P.S. You might want to be specific and a little less bias in creating a forum like this. Not all girls like shojo or romance manga . We like action too.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?

Yes but it shouldn't be "direct"

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
