1.) depending on how good the plot is i could go either way
2.) i love stories with comedy, but the ones with the serious story to it are a probably my favorite and make me most frustrated..as long as there's a little bit of a comedic edge
3.) i like the reverse harem type, even though they make me mad to no end
4.) in the middle...if it's right at the beginning it's boring and if it's right at the end you miss all the sexual things aka the best parts
5.) mixed genres and romance or comedy always has to be one of them
6.) YES IT IS but why do ecchi when you can do hentai?
7.) i don't like them...makes me emo
8.) the main character doesn't have to be a genius but not dirt stupid. she doesn't have to be crazy pretty either, like yuri from red river, though like all main characters they'd be most likely skinny

1.) Shortish
2.) Light when I'm in the mood, Serious when I'm in the mood.
3.) Reverse Harem
4.) At the end, it makes it more interesting.
5.) Yes
6.) I like anything perverted.
7.) Okay idea.
8.) Moe and cute.

- That really depends on the story. Some can tell the whole thing and leave me satisfied in just a few chapters. Some series can be really long and I still just crave more. Just as long as it don't go on for sooo long that I get sick of it.
- Both. Depends on my mood
- Another one that depends on my mood. Two people romance are usually very sweet and good to read, but reverse harem (or normal harem even) are really funny to read. Plus I can root for who becomes the couple in reverse harems.
- That depends on the length of the series. Like in a longer one the romance doesn't have to happen right away but eventually it's like "become a couple already! Sheesh!"
- I prefer it with another genre. I love Vampire Knight and School Rumble is probably one of my most favorite series, so those were good examples. lol. The other genres add more spice to the otherwise bland cliche romance.
- If it's Yaoi then echhi is an absolute win (lol) otherwise it's not at all necessary. If done right it can work or even be funny but it doesn't HAVE to be there.
- Depends on the story as a whole and my mood. I love the tragic Romeo&Juliet type endings. They can be quite the tear jerkers. but I do love to see them "living happily ever after" too.
- That doesn't matter. I guess her personality is what really matters. I don't want an annoying main character that I want to die...

- eh...both short and long mangas aren't that great...I prefer medium.
- light
- reverse harem
- the romance should progress throughout
- mixed romance
- ecchi not necessary
- NO tragic ending
- smart. really, the uber cute/innocent main characters annoy the crap out of me

I prefer short manga, as in about 10 volumes and under. One-shots are awesome, too.
I prefer a mix, but serious stories tend to have more depth to them. Has anyone here read Bone? Perfect mix of light and dark in that.
I prefer between two people. I generally dislike harems, male or female, since it tends to devolve into mindless fanservice and ogling. Ouran and Fushigi Yugi, however, are exceptionally good examples of it done right (Ouran is a parody, though...).
Near the middle. So there's the whole first kiss mess and then actual development in the relationship. There's nothing more frustrating than watching a romance that doesn't go anywhere until the last episode or, god forbid, at all.
I like it as a sub element, but I love fantasy and sci-fi so maybe it's just me. There are exceptions, such as most of the yuri I read.
Ecchi? Ha... I suppose, but it need some comic relief. I prefer to be void of it, though.
Depends on the tone of the whole series. I love tragedies, but sometimes, you just want the characters to win, you know?
Everything works, but a character that isn't a hero, but is a person with heroic qualities is what's important. Moe is fine, but don't make the moe be the character.
Well, that was long and convoluted, I hope you find this amusing.

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
I'll read any manga that has a good story.
Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
With comedy, but with plot.
Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
I like Reverse Harem.
Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
I don't care as long as there is a good development between the characters.
Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
Romance-Comedy, Romance-Fantasy.
Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
No. It's not.
Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Bad idea, but tolerable.
Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Unique, pretty and badass.

in the middle

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Long ass manga because sometimes it is too hard to say goodbye to beloved characters
Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Both: serious, but not boring, and comedies with a quality humour
Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Oww, I like reverse harem, they are more fun
Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
Umm, it's complicated. When it starts early it gets boring, and if it's right at the end, I always want to know how their romantic life would be
Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
Well, any manga isn't interesting to me if it doesn't have even teeny-weny hint of romance
Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
When it is in small portions and drawn beautifully, it's appealing to the eye ^^
Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Noo, I don't like sad endings
Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
I like unique characters, who are strong, brave etc.
