-I am usually more interested in short manga but if I really like it I wish it would go on way longer. (by the way, 30 chapters is not long, that's basically 3 or 4 volumes.)
-I prefer serious stories with SOME comedy thrown in, but when the whole story is light it becomes a waste of time to read. That's why I usually don't read shojo and shonen, too light and stupid.
-Reverse harems are usually pretty stupid because you can tell exactly who the main girl will end up with from the beginning. And I usually hate the males and the weak and boring females. (Haruhi Fujioka, I'm looking at you)
-Fast romance I guess is ok... Well maybe not. Because if it's like, love at first sight then hell no. It should be realistic like, they got to know each other and then fell in love. And what happened afterwards was natural and not forced for more make out scenes and cheesy moments.
-I don't exactly read the romance genre alone, that's just...
And I don't read romance with another genre. I usually read some other genre WITH romance, by coincidence. Example: historical, adventure, drama, and romance. Or, drama, psychological, comedy, school life, and romance. It's usually not the main genre. And when it's not, it's actually interesting because it develops naturally.
-Ecchi is not necessary
-Tragic endings are fine as long as they're good endings and not BS
-Moe characters are usually weak and dumb. I prefer characters that are unique and have no lables on them. And I don't want to read about spineless brats. No marysues (cute, kind, cheerful, pretty, helpful, naive)
I prefer the mains to be guys but whatever.

would you prefer a long ass manga or a short-ish manga?
longer mangas, but not to the degree of like... Hana-Kimi or something.

would you prefer a story that's more serious or light?
depends on my mood, but usually light.
but even the serious mangas have comedic moments in them, so.

which one's better, reverse harem or just romance between mainly two people?
mainly two people.

should the romance be fast or right at the end?
it should be in the middle.
but if I had to choose between the two, then right at the end.

most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about?
with another genre if it's a longer manga, mainly romance if it's a shorter one.

is ecchi necessary?
no, it's never necessary. :)
there's usually no ecchi in shoujo mangas anyway; it's all classified as smut.

tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, or great?
depends, if it's a serious manga, then it's okay.
if it's a light manga, then that's just wtf.

should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart?
plain or pretty or beautiful?

I like strong main girl characters.
I hate it when a girl can't stand up for herself and needs the guy.
she should be normal, I guess, not exactly plain but not beautiful?
as for the guy, he's gotta be good looking. LOL.
he's eye candy. :)
shoujo mangakas usually have the male characters down personality-wise,
I don't think I've ever absolutely hated the main guy character.

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Shortish manga is able to keep my attention till the end but the longer the manga the more likely I am to drop it.
Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
I prefer it has comedy.
Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Reverse Harem
Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
At the end is better
Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).I like it with another genre

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
I can't stand ecchi so no its not necessary
Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Okay idea depends on what the ending is
Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Pretty, smart and strong if they're really weak its annoying

Would you prefer a long manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a short manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Long but not dragged out.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Light. It seems like the more serious the story, the more contrived it usually is.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Reverse harem, but without a love triangle i.e. YNSH.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
More like develops over time. So probably midway it should start really manifesting.

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
I prefer hyphenated romance.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Nope. No ecchi please.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
I'm not often fond of it since many times it seems forced in an effort to manipulate the reader's emotions, but sometimes it really works well and makes the most sense.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
I don't care what the heroine looks like. She can be ugly as sasquatch. She just needs to have strength of character and be likeable. Naivety is okay as long as she has common sense i.e. she doesn't always necessarily assume the worst of people due to jading and experience, but she isn't easily exploited either. Of course I like for the guys to be hot, but personality matters a lot with them too. Looks don't help if they're a total scrub.

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
If a mangaka is really good then they can make a story long without it being tedious.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
It should have a good mix of drop dead serious parts and hilarious stuff, because thats more realistic.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
uuuhhhm...not gonna say i totally hate the whole up front reverse harem setup, but im still gonna say neither. There should be a couple of guys but they dont all just automatically say "hey! Omgsh I'm in Soooo in love with youuuuu! <3 " for no reason. A girl can have lots of guys in her life but they dont all have to fall in love with her and she can have a deeper range of emotions towards them outside of just wanting to Glomp and be in love There should probably only be two main love interests though...

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
Near the end... There should be alot of tension building up to it.. and none of this nerve renching on again-off again angsty crap

Personally, I have a bit of a fantasy/mystery fetish. The plot needs to be just as good as the romance.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Definitely not. It usually means alot of side-boobige/obsurdly lrg rack/underwear showing and I'm a girl so how is that exciting for me??

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
No darn it! No!! terrible idea Well I mean you can kill everyone (even the main char) just not the bishies!

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
They should be beautiful (but not know it) strong in their own way, and cool. Everybody's gotta be cool

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Long. I feel like the characters and plot would have more time to develop instead of being shallow relationships. I don't mind reading something with a lot of chapters. However, I'm not really a fan of one-shots.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
I like romantic comedys. More comedy than romance would be ideal but it has to have enough of both like school rumble.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
I like reverse harems where only one or maybe two of the guys like the girl. However, the guys need to have a legitimate reason like in Ouran (not like in La Corda). I do love my reverse harems.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
I think that they should be enough development so that it's not a shallow relationship. No love at first sight. It could be at the beginning if one of them liked the other for a long time but they need a legitimate reason.

Romance with another genre over just romance. However, I do love both but romantic comedies win in my opinion.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Absolutely not. I am not an ecchi fan. A little (and not too blantant) is ok and I don't mind references. Avoiding panty shots and what not would be awesome. A good example is The Wallflower. It wasn't ecchi but it still

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
I don't like them but I don't mind them if that makes any sense. I just don't want the main characters( one of the love interests) to be offed. I DEFINITELY would prefer a happy ending.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Strong and realistic. I don't care too much about looks but they can't be stupid, shallow and selfish.

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Long, I think a good story needs time to develop. Especially the characters.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Light, with some fun comedy and light-hearted jokes, a manga can become easy and enjoyable to read.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Small reverse harems are good, it gives some options not only to the main character, but to the reader as well to whom they choose to like.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
As much as I honestly like to see the romance quick, I think in any case it should be properly developed before being brought to the table at all...

I really do enjoy manga with some action or fantasy in it, it makes the story much more interesting and can sometimes help create scenes that would be helpful to the romantic parts of the story.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
A small amout of ecchi is acceptable, but going too far with it often kills my desire to read anymore of the manga... so, no, definitely NOT necessary.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Honestly, I really hate tragic endings. With an enjoyable story and lovable characters brought into it, I would usually want a happy ending not only for the characters, but for my reading satisfaction. Haha.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
My favourite type of characters are usually the strong, intelligent, beautiful-types. They always appeal to me no matter what.

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
I like short mangas because I don't have a lot of time... but when I find a long manga that's good... Then I read it.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
I need it light... I mean I can't go through anything without a speck of comedy. I mean COME ON!

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
A reverse harem mixes things up and besides when too much romance goes to your head; you usually become perverted.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
What about the middle until the end? It's cute and makes it more exciting!

Romantic-comedy always spices things up. I mean you have romance in your life, but your partner and you are hilarious! That's the perfect life!

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.

It's not necessary, but we use it anyway.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
It's an awesome idea! The tragic ending is usually for a reason and it gives a lot of suspense. You'll soon wish for the series to continue.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?

Personally, I'm picky about my characters. The otaku needs to be pretty. And besides, what's wrong with a character that has all of those qualities?!
