Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
Longish Manga.
Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Light
Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Reverse Harem
Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
Right at the end
Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
Romance with another genre
Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Not really necessary
Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Really bad idea
Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Strong and smart, plain

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters). It depends on the content. If conflicts are resolved, only to have a new one show up immediately afterwards, make it short. If there's a conflict that just keeps going, take as long as you need to wrap it up properly.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)? I'd prefer both, actually. The should be some serious angst involved, or else I can't get too involved in the story. Still, I don't want to be drowned...

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss). Mainly two people. I'm a harcore believer in soulmates (at least in stories). Triangles (or even bigger!) irritate me.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end? NEAR the end, but definitely not the end. Half the battle is keeping the love going, after all, but I don't want a quick love-at-first-sight sort of thing. It has to come over time, through trials, because love can't be true if it's sudden.

Hm. I guess that also depends on how you work it. I love fantasy and action, so mixing it, if done well, catches my attention immediately. Still, I like pure romances. They just tend to drag because more random subplots are entered, only to be resolved disgustingly quickly and with minor hassle.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary. *rolls eyes* You mean that accidental boob grab and whatnot? Please don't. It's so forced and cliched it hurts physically for me to see it. Not to say it kills a story, but it's definitely annoying. I wouldn't care if it were accidental or not; just slapping the guy wouldn't be enough. I would endeavor to hate him for eternity.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great? I read for my happily ever after. I don't want real life pushing its ugly butt into my story! Give me happiness!

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful? This is up to you, but I can tell you that I'm sick and tired of D.I.D.'s - damsels in distress. I would love a female character who could stand for herself, who chooses to have a man by her side helping her instead of needing one to protect her.

I hope this helps, even though I'm a bit late in giving it to you...

1. it depends on the plot. if it's a complex plot, long. if it's simple, short.
2. well, i like a mix of both. i like serious stories, but there are times when the mood needs to be lighter. basically, without a balance, i get bored.
3. hm....reverse harems are fine, but at the end, i want the protagonist to end up with one person. however, this does depend on the character of the protagonist. so, yeah.
4. i think the love needs to develop. like, realizing it during the middle and having a relationship by the end. if it's right off at the beginning, it's sort of.....meh, i dont know. i just dont like it. if it's all of a sudden at the end, then it's a cliffhanger. so, i say the middle.
5. i like romance with another genre. sappy romances just aren't for me.
6. no. definitely not. i hate ecchi. it annoys the heck out of me.
7. a manga is meant to be fictional; an escape from real life. so, yeah, tragic ending: really BAD idea. this isn't Romeo and Juliet. (forgive me Shakespeare, you're great)
8. I want a female protagonist who ISN'T completely ditzy, clumsy, and always needs to be saved. basically, i want a protagonist who can fight for herself. she doesnt have to be super strong or smart, just reasonably enough. i wouldn't want an ugly protagonist either. i guess i'd rather have a nice looking protagonist, enough to be considered pretty but not enough to make boys go goo-goo eyes.

i hope this helps! =D

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters). with a good story, it doesn't matter if it's long or short (but I don't want it to be too long)

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)? between comedy and seriousness

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss). romance between mainly two people

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end? not too fast and not too slow.

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A). romance with another genre.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary. a bit of ecchi is fine but not too much. ecchi is not necessary.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great? that depends on the story.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful? plain or pretty. cute yet strong and smart

Not to long, 4 volumes is alright. (unless itys REALLY Good!)

Lots of comedy, but with atleast one serious character.

I prefer Male Harem :D. but it depends what the genre is. I do want it to be clear who'll end up with eachother, so i'm not
getting my hopes up and the main character ends up with some annoying character.

Romance must start out slow but should come up fast

Depends the genre. Action, fantasy and comedy only need a little romance, but not to much because i'm watching it for that. I like romance short and really focusing on the relationship.

Ecchi is not necessary. (but Yaoi or shoun-ai is :P)

Bad ending is tolerable

I prefer male maincharacters and it depends. Sometimes cute (example Daisuke Niwa ~Dnangel, Yuuri ~ KKM) And sometimes strong and HAWTT

Long. Keeps me entertained more...

Light. Uber light.

Reverse Harem.

If I'm watching romance, it would be more of a good plot with light romance (but still existent,) so, I guess this fits with Romance+other.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
No. =/

Long.

I personally like more serious stories.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Romance between two people, its much more realistic.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
At the end, let it take it's time.

Romace with another genre.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
Nope.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Depends on the story, as long as it works it should be ok. Like, don't have a hilarious comedy manga and end it with the main character randomly dying in a car accident on the last page.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Umm strong and smart and pretty.

Long but it had better be interesting.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
Light.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
I'm fine with both

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
End, mid-end is not bad either. But if it's at the start, no way.

Romance-Comedy/Action/Fantasy :)

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
I wouldn't mind if it's a small small small small bit. But, no.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
Bad idea.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
