Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
longish

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
light

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
i could accept both...

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
i like at the middle...but at the end is okay by me..

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).
all fine by me...

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
not necessary...

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
depends...

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
depends..

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
It depends, romantic types of manga should have a good build up, but if they drag the confession, then it gets annoying. I'll stick with shortish

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
A little of the both. For a serious manga, it should be original and unique..

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
Err.. I don't really get reverse harem... and romance between 2 people is too cliche

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
The romance should be built up slowly, bits by bits.

Err... like Full Metal Panic, which is romance-action. or Library Wars

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
no it isn't, I'm not a fan of boobies, to me, if you wanna expose your breast, you've gotta be stripped naked

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
It depends on how realistic the authore is trying to achieve, like Code Geass... saddening but its end was most suitable

Should the main character be cute and more strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
Everything in anime is pretty... I'd prefer a strong female lead for I'm a sexist to begin with.

I like my anime the way I like my men...

If the manga is really good (like Skip Beat! and I only mean Skip Beat! up to now.. maybe Kamichama Karin Chu too) then I don't mind it to be longer. In fact it should never end But most of the time I would like it to be around 20 Chapters. If it's too short then (mostly) the ending is shit... it's like that.

I prefer light ones with LOTS of comedy, but also romance.

I love reverse harem, that's the best.

Romance should develop and make you think: what? I want MORE! and then in the end: boom, there it is.

I like it best if genres are mixed, like gender bender with romanc. I love girls that are crossdressing... I like the tension through the whole story.

I don't like echhi stuff.. if I'd want sth. echhi I'd look a porno or sth... but I don't do that either so.. no ecchi.

wah... no tragic ending.. happy endings are the best.

strong lead character. like in Red Lion or Akumo to Love Song. I love Maria. xD

i would say somewhere in the middle.

I like ones that are short, but there's actually a plot.

Light

Reverse harem

It's should progress

I'd prefer if there's a lot of plot to accompany the romance.

Ecchi isn't needed. :/

Eh, tolerable.

I like main characters that I can relate to. So just kind of average.

Halfway in between, seriously.

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).

oh totally reverse harem... hot guys = good\

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?

It should slowly build throughout the story

Most importantly, do you prefer romance with another genre (like romance-action or romance-fantasy, romance-comedy etc. Basically stories like Vampire Knight, La Corda D'oro, and School Rumble) or a story that focuses MAINLY on romance with a bit of extra sub-plot that you don't really care about (Special A).

Romance drama or romance comedy is good.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.

oh ecchi is GOOOOOOD

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?

Let's see...

Would you prefer a long ass manga (like maybe about 30-40 chapters) or a shortish manga (say around 10 to 15 chapters).
- I prefer a series that is as long as it should be. Series that are considerably longer than necessary tend to lose my interest eventually, and I've long thought that one of anime/manga's strengths compared to American comics is its ability to put an END to a series instead of having the mindset of trying to make it last forever.

Would you prefer a story that's more serious or light (ie. lots of comedy)?
- The series I really enjoy tend to be a mix, like Gurren Lagann or The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. That said, I've liked a lot of really serious shows (like Lain, or Kaiba), and lots of pretty much all-comedy shows (Umisho, Yakitatte!).

Which one's better, reverse harem (like Fushigi etc) or just romance between mainly two people (like Itazura na Kiss).
- Depends on how well it's done, definitely. Host Club is a reverse harem that is absolutely phenomenal (because it focuses more on these teens growing up and figuring out who they are, rather than on a singular romance...for now). But something like Angelique? Meh. As for romances, some of them are great (Love*Com is the best one in recent memory) and some are absolutely boring.

Should the romance be fast (like early on in the manga) or right at the end?
- I guess it depends on whether the series is focused on the two getting together at all, or getting together and STAYING together.

- I guess I'm just going to say that any good romance has more going on than just the romantic story. That doesn't necessarily have to be a half-dozen side stories, but there's got to be SOMEthing to set it apart from what we think of as a standard, quintessential romance anime.

Then I also wanna know if ecchi is necessary.
- No, but it can be hilarious, or hot. Don't shy away from it if it makes sense to the story's tone-- but don't put it in there just to titilate either.

Tragic ending: really bad idea, bad idea but tolerable, okay idea, good idea, great?
- Tragic like Romeo x Juliet, or tragic like School Days? Go with what makes the most *sense* for the way you've done the story. If it's been all fun and cute and then you suddenly make it go dark at the end, it'll just throw people off. If it's been a more realistic-style story with bits of humor and bits of melancholy, work out an ending that's not the 100% perfect end, but is good.

Should the main character be cute and moe or strong and smart? Plain or pretty or beautiful?
- At risk of getting repetitive, whatever makes the most sense for the story you're writing-- not the one you think the audience will like best.

In the end, there are no shortcuts.

Not too long or not too short. About 10-15volumes will do.
Sometimes seriousness in a story is needed i believe.
Romance between two people are simply sweet, but reverse harem will be much more interesting. :D
Not too fast or not too slow, exactly like skip beat will be good.
Personally, i hates romance-comedy. It makes the anime doesn't seem romantic at all. But romance-action are accepted. However, purely romance will makes people feel sick of it.
Ecchi? hmm i don't quite understand what it that. But if it means preverted thingy, i believes its not necessary. Romance are made of pureeeeeeeee love.
Tragic ending, hmm...depends. but if i know the anime is going to end tragedy i won't even want to watch it.
If you mean girl, different types of manga should have different type of protagonist. But, acting cute that kinda character...no thanks for mee.
Done! whoos. Nice quiz!
