Fucked up endings like The Departed and Oldboy.

Somehow, depressing endings like the ones in Oldboy and The Departed give me a warm, happy feeling, can't explain it. Must be my inner sadist...

My personal fave is Michael Corleone getting his ring kissed as the door closes at the end of the first Godfather movie.

Lol. A warm happy feeling?? I don't have a favorite movie ending... but The Departed was pretty awesome. Alot of action in less than 5 minutes.

Wanted's ending fucked up Morgan Freeman, and it was awesome.

I wanted to like that movie. But if you really think about it...

It's actually quite good. Loom or whatever, the Hero did his part.

Also, the movie featured the historical theories of how the Adrenaline Rush works.
Is nice.
I like.

I agree with you on Godfather's ending, but I think Godfather 2's ending trumps it. Michael watches Fredo get killed and he's just standing there , stoic and stone cold. Antarctic ice water flows through those veins.

Godfather 2 ended with Mike remembering the day he enlisted in the army, right? On Vito's birthday? A couple of things confuse me about that scene though...

At the start of the movie, Vito's b'day was mentioned as August something but Pearl Harbour was bombed in December.
Mike is dressed up in a 70's style leisure suit though it is 1941 then...

lol That's right. That was weird, I was thinking of the scene, before the birthday celebration. Al's face was just so free of emotion and stone cold. He was robbed of the Oscar.

lol they tired to compare it to HEAT, when it wasn't anything like it. Al and Robert are shells of their former selves.

Cheer up, imagine the plight of those who shelled out to watch Mr. Sam Anderson's big screen debut. They had to go through worse than you did lol

lol Yeah, but they didn't have to see Robert DeNiro try to pull a performance out of Fifty Cent.
