I can honestly say a couple of years ago I tried to commit suicide, thankfully I was not sucessful. I can understand why someone would want to end it all. It is very easy to become isolated and to blame ones self for all the negative things that happen arround you. As a celeberty I would say it is much easier to feel the pressure of having to meet others expectations, not to mention they are probally a lot lonelier. I would assume that not everyone arround them is a true friend and that most people use them. When you think about it celeberties have a very sad and lonely life.

isn't there a psychiatry places for people who want to commit suicide, or depressed?

Alot of People (And according to the reports im seeing, asian celebrities are included) need help.

Sadly, this suicide thing will become the new 'it factor' for naive teens. More people will commit copy cat suicide. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?

It's not just the korean celebrities but the koreans as a whole, has one of the highest suicide rates.

In fast growing economies like Korean, Japan, China, etc, there is definitely much greater pressure for people to perform & succeed. Added to that, being one of the most wired nations in the world, Korea also faces one of the fierciest cyber attacks & bullyings.

Having said that, I think it is also subconsciously in the korean psyche that it's acceptable to take your own life if it becomes too unbearable. I hope I'm wrong but I'm not sure.. Just look at the number of kdramas or shows with the characters killing themselves! Shows such as Autumn Tale, What Happened In Bali, I'm Sorry I Love You, Snow Queen, and most recently, La Dolce Vita, all feature such themes. I'm sure there are more... I really think the korean entertainment & media industries should do some introspections & take responsibilities for what kind of message, subtle or otherwise, that they are releasing to the public... Stop glamourising suicides... please!

man who cares if he is a homosexual, homosexuals are humans too. famous people need their privacies too! they are just like us. i believe it was the stupid paparazzis caused him to end his own life. why cant they just stop interferring with other people lives.

Rest in peace, amen.

Suicides occur everywhere in the world.. not only in korea.. so stop saying like it only happens in korea

Yes,you are right, Suicides occur everywhere in the world, but in this case Korea has the Highest suicide rate in the country if not close to the world.
I read someone on here stated that the United States probably has a higher rate, but NOPE,sorry to say,but Korea, and Japan, are above America. While, Korea's suicide rate is 24.8 of every 100,000 people that committed suicide last year(2007,and it has doubled this year), In the United States the suicide rate is 10.1 , and in Japan the suicide rate is 19.1 , and six in the United Kingdom.

I agree there is much more pressure, yet even when you commit suicide where do you stand it does not help anyone and especially yourself, your just dropping your problems onto someone else, especially when you have family members that care about you. Also,I agree with a sex tape in Asia it get's worse for you,but it's practically the same in the U.S,yeah you do get famous a least a little bit more, but it still ruins your career.

What Korea needs to start doing is start a Anti-Suicide Campaign, and find a way for everyone to cope with the thought of suicide, and not do it.

Anyways, R.I.P to the Model,I read somewhere Netizens where the ones to drive him away like this because of his sexuality,I really pity netizens, cause this is not the first time this has happened because of them.

maybe there is a lot of DEATH NOTE users nowadays...Is Light still alive? lol.

seriously, when u got big problems even if u have your families and friends with you, when the moment/feeling strikes ur emotion , some people just wanna end their lives...sometimes, I too even think of doing it, but I'm scared :sweatingbullets: ...well, we just have to keep the faith.
