I never bothered studying/doing homework while I was in school and I graduated not only among the top of my class, but also a year early. I'm one of those people that never bothered to start papers until the morning they're due. I prefered working under pressure. :)

As far as a job goes, I can only live off Daddy for so long. I recently started working and I believe I'm making a decent amount of money - especially for a first job. Every paycheck brings in around $800, which is kickin' rad for only working 16 hours a week.

I work for a lawyer. I was a bit hesitant to get a job at first, because I know a hell of a lot of places aren't too thrilled with purple-haired employees, but the guy I'm working for doesn't care at all. So that's awesome. & the money's great.

Basically, I just type up letters/envelopes and things like that.

My hair has been blue a few times. :/ It's one of my least favorite hair colors.

You shouldn't be lazy if your young, because you only have youth for a limited time. Then before you know it, your going to be an old man. Live life to the fullest, study hard, work hard, and don't be lazy.

Otherwise, you'll become like the people in my high school reunion, having to pay child support, working at Mcdonalds for the rest of your career life, and not having much friends. That is the life you lead if your lazy, and hey do what you want, just don't go crying to Uncle Sam if you don't have enough money or food.

I know what you should do lokita; you should shave your head, and sell your hair to make even more money.

sousuke you can still be lazy; but, only to the point that success is achieved.

I've used those exact words in a different context to support my lazy habits….

Interesting views on this. Well…in the grade school world I never had to work hard and I did well. In the middle school world I never lifted more than a finger and I did great. In the high school world I’m in the top 50 students. (I’m number 43. So 42 students in my entire school have a higher GPA than me.) The real world may not be quite the same, but I didn't say I would continue to slack off in the real world. I just want to be lazy while I can do so and get away with it. I'm healthy, sept maybe a lack of sunlight, and I do fine in school. So why bother trying hard right now we I can get away with very little work and still not screw myself over?

But, you know, being lazy keeps me out of trouble… Though that’s more because I’m anti social than because I’m such a bum…

Well, I hope to die before I get old. If I don’t, then I’ve requested all my friends and siblings and cousins and relatives and relations in general to smother me with a pillow on my 60th birthday. This being said… I don’t have to worry about retirement. I’d rather enjoy my youth anyway.

do whatever you want. just don't slack off TOO much in college... high school is perfectly fine if you slack off as long as you get at least mediocre grades. if you're not planning to go to some ivy league school, having good grades won't matter as much. and finding a job at 16? who cares for now? find one in 2 years.

....Why did you have to go and say something scary like that...? The real world freaks me out enough as it is!

my best advice for this would be not to take too much advantage of getting good grades while slacking. soon enough, you'll find yourself in a pinch.
speaking from experience and knowing others with the same experience. ^_^
